Here we go. One last time...

I see purple in there.....
Now which one??
Indeed. :)
Remember, this is the short video the engine seller sent me of it running:

Not much clue for me. I can't tell from that.

EDIT: Apparently I can't link a YouTube video anymore?

Not up to it, but got tired of looking at it.
Two motor mount bolts out. Here we go.

Some dummy put the jack stands right where the hoist legs needed to go.
Y'all know the answer to that one.
Screw it, I'm here now.

Passenger side wanted to rotate into the inner fender. This being solo, cardboard was employed.

Hey, look who came out to check on me!
Put her to work. :)

Done. She now awaits a ride to her next home.

Next: Bolt all that "bought stuff" sitting on the bench to the next engine...
After I heal a bit, naturally. Tore one of my "stiched up" spots a bit.
No worries, it'll just give the scar more character. :)

Progress!! Somebody has to watch out for you, who better. Think you better move those J stands before install.

" She " doesn't look real happy at helping. Ask me how I know!!!! Great job, now all you have to do is listen to her about waiting for help!

Update- she either doesn't like her picture taken( I know about that) or probably she's PO'd about you not waiting or both.

OR that sad eng.block is taking her side of the garage!!!!!

Seems like just about the time I'm out of gas, she pops in to have a check.
She doesn't want to appear to be concerned, you know. :)
Aye, reckon they'll get relocated to frame rails. It'll give me more room underneath. I just felt like they were more secure in the "crotches" of the suspension.

She usually leaves me alone about these things, but lately she's gotten more vocal about things, especially when I get to doing heavy stuff on my own.
She knows the score, too. She's just not the overtly fretting sort, so when she actually shows concern, she's really worried.

The cavalry is coming next weekend. I'm still not ready for him, but today got a lot closer. He's already fussing at me for taking it out on my own.

She's giving me that smirk folks give when they don't want their picture taken, but you tell them to smile anyways. :)
It's the look of "dumbass, you hurt yourself then want me to try and help?"

View attachment 406016 WOW! Hope your help gets here next weekend.
I'll have a little time to heal once it's over.
Time is of the essence right now.
One thing's for sure - I'll never feel better than I do right now, so it's giddyup time.
I'll scrub on the car a little bit while I try to get some recovery, then I'll start on wrestling all the new/different stuff together. The more I can get done before help arrives, the easier it will be on him.

Oh, no, I built that dang garage for her to have her ride in the dry, too.
That doesn't get compromised with this job. :)

Ed those J stands so close together don't look to stable. Don't want to hear about you getting squashed. This is how I put mine in the air. You'll need to put stands on rails behind front wheels though.

They're not going anywhere where they're at, right in the main pivot point of the suspension.
They are, however, slap in the way right there.

I have some cleaning to do before the "new" engine is installed.

Suggestions as to finishes and such?
Or just clean everything and be done with it?

*shakes fist at evil Hedman Hedders*

Glad to see you got the old motor out.

I vote clean and be done unless you've got some things that need to be taken care of. Right now, you've got plenty of room to work in. Lol
