His Lordship's 16th B-Day

My beloved chocolate lab, loyal & faithful good old dog "Lord Budnicks of U--", aka Buddy is 16y/o today, ironically he was born the same day my last dog {another lab, black} "Duke of U--" died/put down, as his proud papa I'm going to take him for a ride, :headbang: he's finally legal to drive now...He he ha ha

I'm amazed he's still with me, a couple weeks ago I thought he was a goner, like a cat with 9 lives, it seems, he's tough good old dog...

Thanks guys, as you all know I'm a die hard dog guy, he's my 4th Lab & the oldest so far too... I've had a few scares of the years, he tried to hang himself jumping out the side of the truck, while going down the road, he got bit by a rattlesnake a couple years ago now, had twisted gut a few times now since he was 14 or so {that's usually fatal, the 1st time let alone 1/2 a dozen times}...

Yep he's a real trooper & as loyal as they come, greats me at the door happy all the time, truly like a mans best friend should be... He's been by my side everyday 24-7, especially since all the kids are gone, except a week here & there, when I had to fly somewhere... It never fails to follow me where ever I go, out to the garage, out to the mail box, even if I'm just taking a dump or piss, he's right there too...LOL... god forbid I leave him home if I get in "his truck" {I'm just his personal driver}, no matter what I'm doing, he's right in there with me...

Funny how you can get so attached to an animal, I think of him as my boy thou...

Yea, your right...LOL... I don't have much to do around here anymore, he's a big part of my day... That day/date May 23rd was a big deal, same day/date my old Black lab "Duke" died, I usually don't think about my dogs birthdays so much...

I had an awful scare with my ol' girl Zooey last weekend. She was dreadfully sick from Friday morning all through Saturday and Sunday... family even came over to say their goodbyes.. Monday was a holiday so I was going to make the appointment Tuesday to have it looked after Wednesday and by the end of day Monday she was back to her old self!! Best comeback ever
