RIP Buddy, words can't say enough when we loose of of our buddies. Hopefully this will bring a smile to you. Oh and yes it is crazy in my home.

Budnicks I am really sorry for you I have a lab who is 12 and not doing well. Really feel bad for you.

Sorry to hear the sad news Budnicks. I went through a very similar experience back in 2007 when I had to have my chocolate lab named Candy put to sleep. She was with me every day of her life for the first 3 years or so. I'm talking 24/7.
I laid down beside her, held her in my arms and was looking into her eyes as she slipped away. Then I cried. She is resting now next to my shop door where she ways hung out with me. I still get a little emotional when I think about it but I try to keep it hidden.
Please take comfort in knowing that as time goes by, it will be a little less painful each day. A few years later as we were walking into a pet supply store they had an adoption table set up for a local humane society. They had a chocolate lab there. She started barking as i walked near her and she looked a lot like Candy did. She didn't bark at anyone else. She picked me !!!!
We ended up adopting her right then and there. She has been a very good girl but will never replace my chocolate Candy.
Lord Budnicks will be missed.
They become our four legged children and always give us love.

Bart, Im as sorry as can be!, I do know how deeply you felt about this one and hope you can feel better soon, If there is any young ones he may have sneaked in on someone close this would be maybe a great time to see if you could get one! i was thinking of you yesterday as my grand daughter wants a pup and i told her maybe this coming summer we will make it happen and a Lab is a good choice, listening to you talk about your friend... Take care buddy!!!

So sorry to hear this. I love dogs and my two are my best buddies as I spend tons of time with them. Right now as I type this the yellow lab is stretched out on my bed. They are family members. I am so sorry for your loss as I can only imagine how hard it is. Take care and I will pray for you and your buddy. Ron

Sorry to hear of it Bud. Mine has been gone 3 years and I have had a new dog for almost 2. I STILL call the new dog by the old dog's name once in a while. The pain will pass, the memories never and hopefully, a new friend will enter your life.
It is life's cruelest measure but i think it was a plan to remind us of the importance of unconditional love from time to time.

Damn, my friend. Sorry to hear-I know what it's like. But more than becoming part of the family, they really become part of who we are. Easier said than done, but hang in there, remember the good times (not to mention all of his silly little quirks), and be thankful for 16 great years!

I am truly saddened to here you losing Lord Budnicks. You talked about him often. He now has the opportunity to Meet Miss Emily who has been gone from us for two years now. He'll like her !!
