thats how the factory wheel base cars were done they had sedan doors and a post i think it helped with rigidity although this is not a original it has been built to close but not exact specs as a original it is a tribute car i guess you would say a tribute back to the good ol days.

I honestly never noticed the sedan doorframes on the hardtops until now. makes sense. Would help support the window glass as well I guess. Keep up the good work.
 
Just came across this thread, so I'll toss some pics in as well. This is my '65 Dodge sedan, moved k-frame 10", and rear end 15". Built new torque boxes so can use any B-body length torsion bars, brackets from frame to mount RB engine in stock location. All steel car, kept stock rear wheel tubs. Just had media blasting done and shot in epoxy primer.

Thanks, trying to keep going forwards on this project. Next step is finish the bodywork, driveline is in the works.
