de-clawed in the front (already done-it was my gf's daughter's cat), and a nice thick car cover has worked for me...

I use high quality PPG brand paints ....if a cat can scratch it just by walking on it then I need to write PPG a nasty letter. I have had the cat jump on the cars before and I have yet to notice any scratches.

I keep it covered with a car cover and lots of moving blankets!

I never had a problem with a cat scratching my paint. I did have a cat leave paw prints on a freshly painted hood though of the 1967 Dodge Polara that I was working on. It was not wet, but hadn't hardened enough yet. Cat was unharmed but I was not a happy camper to have to respray the hood.

Here on the farm, we have several outdoor cats. They really keep the varmit population down. However if a door is open, they will come inside and hide--jumping up on stuff and knocking everything that will move to the ground if left inside. So I use one of those super loud air horns in a can before shutting up the garage. ---Works!!...............................MO
