Hyrdgoon's - project angrybird

Oh ok, but yeah that'd be worth checking into! If they got them for that price before hopefully they can again haha $150 would be my driveshaft shortening haha

And if you keep an eye out I'm sure good deal on a hairdryer will come along man! Neither is mine at the moment either lol that's why I have to be patient spacing these big projects out through this year, the 6 speed swap will be about 3k by Devin's estimate, I'll have about 3k in the engine getting boost-ready (eddy aluminum heads, intake, cam, water pump/housing, rockers, etc), and if I get around to the fuel injection that will be about another 2k. Gotta keep the bank account paced out for the long haul lol think the patience will pay off though

The only thing I'll add is that if you're doing a dual disc McLeod setup like mine it would be closer to $3500 (and a bit more if you can't find the bellhousing cheaper than the avg.)

Thanks 2059! It also serves to seal and protect after all the tig weldin
Grabbed a couple other pics while I was there today and also have a video of it running through the full exhaust to download later.

Here's the new callouts in place as well as a pic of the guages lit up in the car.

Thanks 68Post! I did a quick search online just now (typed in roadrunner airgrabber screens) and a few sites came up that are selling just the screens if that's what you're looking for. Typically they were painted Red but mine were faded and worked so we hit them with the extra can of Mopar Orange Engine Paint that came with my motor so that's why mine look a bit brighter. The A/G assembly I have is busted so it hasn't been on the car since I have owned it

Really liked the look and concept of these lights from a thread posted by WIJNS07 and ordered some for myself since my car is the same sort of Pro-Touring/Restomod style concept. http://www.forbbodiesonly.com/moparforum/showthread.php?79285-Illumination

So they arrived this week and it looks like there's some different wiring configurations.

I'm thinking if the LED Halo's are on their own switch you could have 5 possible lighting configurations: Halo Only/Halo Parking Light/ Parking Light only/Halogen Only/ Halogen with Halo?? Does this sound right?

I definitely don't want to wire the Halo in as Daytime running lights because I like the idea of being able to go completely black (midnight cowboy driving we like to call it!) and I don't want them wired in with the parking lights because I always think a Mopar should be able to cruise with Amper park lights only

Another aspect that I really like (for those that don't like the look of something like this) Is that they are just a plug & play Halogen so if I choose to run these for a season or 2 I can easily unload them and go back to my regular halogens if I so choose.

Here's some pics of what showed up.

Those should look pretty awesome on there but I would think the right way to wire them would be to tie the Halo's into your running lights? Should look great!

You are the 2nd person to give that opinion from 2 people's opinions that I hold in high value! Noted! :)

(plus that still allows me midnight cowboy time! bahahaha

Didn't realize you had the same one's Wookie!! Damn that looks sharp! Looks like Halo wired with parking lights is a winner!

How do you find them compared to regular halogen lighting when fully on at night?

Just went through your Photobucket Wookie! I REALLY like your car! both exterior and interior choices are right up my alley! I'm a fan!

You went with the other color LED's it looks like. (I'm colorblind but yours looks different I think)

I have the RGB halos. I can make them any color I want. The module has many modes you can play as well as programmable. Cop mode is cool.

H4 bulbs kill stock headlight. Be sure to beef up the stock headlight wiring though. I think there is a thread or 2 here somewhere on how to do it?

Thx for the kind words. Your car is awesome too! To bad were on opposite sides of the country.

Agreed! it is a shame we're that far apart.

Whole car was re-wired last year beefed up already to support my current Halogens with relays so I should be alright. The programmable aspect of yours sounds way cooler!

HYRDGOON, That guy is a killer with his photo shots!! Wookie, ive said it before but ill say it again, That is one of the coolest ive ever seen man!!!

I've been thinking a lot about ideas for the shifter that will be custom made for the T56 going in my car

I have a top notch fab guy that will be custom milling me my shifter handle and I wanted the grip to be milled based on the classic mopar pistol grip. Since the shifter will be in a different location and I run a Bench seat I need to do a "One of" It will be milled stainless with a custom scribed 6 speed pattern on top

I'm looking at a set of these grips in either Hemi Orange Dyed Figured Maple or Hemi Orange Dyed Tiger Maple to finish off the custom look from http://www.idlehandswoodwork.com/index.html

Your Halo lights look really cool.

I added Halo lights to my 2007 Ford Mustang. I powered them through a switched 12v supply so they come on when the car is started, and turn off by themselves when the car turns off. I also added a small switch under my dash to manually turn them off. This way, I can either leave them like daytime running lights, or turn them on and off as I choose. The only thing I can't do is turn them on when the car is off. This has worked really well and I am happy with the way they turned out. If I add halo lights to my Road Runner I will wire them like that...

that shifter is god dam SEXY looking an those headlights are awesome, i might have to buy me a set..

I'd look at the one's Wookie recommended above vs. what I bought. Had I known about Wookie's I would have gone that route it's WAY cooler to have a module to change colors!!

As for the shifter handles I emailed the owner of idle hands Nick Tambakis this morning and have already gotten 2 replies answering all my questions. I was NOT expecting to hear back on a Sunday and this guy sounds like a skilled craftsman and super nice guy!

We think to much alike, I borrowed a plastic handle off a buddy to copy the old Mopar grip in Curly Maple just like you pictured.

Those halo's should look awesome man! Just a little different but almost the same ones I have on my Chevelle, I wired mine to one of the toggle switches on my switch panel like hsorman did just so you can control anytime you do or don't want em on, but I love em!

And that shifter is gonna look sharp as hell! :icon_thumleft:

I like those Speedy they're a little more subtle!

I thought you were just going to modify the grip your father already milled but the Curly Maple will tie in all the rest of the work you've already put into the console and dash beautifully! When I saw these I kinda thought to myself (Dev would just see this and make it himself just as nice! hahaha!)

I'm sure you know this but one piece of advice I was given for the shifter handle was there are metal "tabs" at the top and bottom that help to keep the grips from moving once installed (see attached).
