I found another 69 charger

My wife said brown a bit ago because the 3 year old asked what it was she got excited because I said charger (our dog's name) he passed she said it's not brown like charger then she has been calling the car bubba witch was chargers nickname

Did u buy it? Looks like it needs cleaned up but it still a charger?

Metal work was getting done correctly but not finished 1/4's are screwed in place but thats fine at least I can assure there correct ! Don't mind the doors there's a mint pair in the car

I hope that your welding skills are better than the previous owner. At $20,000, that "roller" should have been finished and ready for body and paint. It isn't. Quarters not even finally welded? The valance and lower corners too?
I don't mean to be rude. I like you as a member here. I advised against this but you did what you wanted to do. Many times, it seems that people don't want advice, they want confirmation of what they already plan to do. The car is not junk by any means but it does need a LOT of work.
Sorry in advance..... the welds I see on even this tiny screen look sloppy. I can't imagine that they look any better in person. That is no guarantee that the fitment of the panels is wrong but it would make me very cautious. The inner wheel tub welds look like popcorn instead of flat and even. Look at an original car and you will see what I mean.
I do hope that it works out well for you. I read what you contribute here and like your positive demeanor.

you are gonna have to have that car blasted...the Sooner the better.
that guy did it no favors by not sealing the metalwork....wow.

replacing hinge pillars, rockers, and door jambs is extensive rust repair on these cars, well beyond the norm....... I want to believe someone knew what they were doing

Man i would be scared if this was in my driveway.
Of course mainly because i don't have the money, space and equipment for a project like this.

Good luck with the restoration. :)

Edit:

If i would be you, i would really go with plumcrazy purple and at least a 440 engine.
You got no fender tag or buildsheet so this would make the car really stand out since there haven't been any factory fc7 cars in 69. But they should have made them because it looks awesome if you ask me.

If i would restore a non R/T 69 charger i would go with FC7, white vinly top and white vinyl interior (just like the one i posted earlier) for sure. :)
The fake wood trim makes it pop even more. ^^

i do too...but..looking at those pics is terrifying...as in,
i see a lot of gaps on the new metal where they could have hammered n dollied n welded it up nice and didnt...plus the welds wowsa....plus the patches..and is that roof even welded on??...whats in front of that patch on both sides of the upper roofline ?..whats going on with the trunk lip ??
whats the odds that this car is square?
i sure do wish you the best of luck on this one bb.
i also wish you had shown us these pics before you bought it.

Ok guys I just unloaded all the stuff off trailer . So yes I saw some of the poor welds not a problem to fix everything seems to be in place alot of the gaps you see is because some are just laying in place so looks like the floor and trunk pan were first . As the wheel wells . All that seems good as does the rockers. I was a little pissed it wasn't done as he said but after seeing the welds I'm glad it isn't.
There's $15k in brand new metal plus mint OEM parts there's also mint tail lights and two dash's two columns .
Yes there's alot of work witch is fine
I didn't pay $20000 I got it for $10000 because of basically what you guys pointed out !
There's more metal work then I wanted to do but I couldn't buy and get the metal for what I payed so I'll put in the work
Luckily they took old metal off correctly so shouldn't be to bad I'll know more tomorrow once I get it off trailer
