I found another 69 charger

I'd say that you DID negotiate better than I expected. Good for you.

I layed it out to the guy it's a charger it will be super expensive to finish especially if he can't do the work witch he couldn't told him I understand you got x into the car and what other people are asking but it needs so much work and the way money is now he would be hard pressed to get what he wants told him your in the middle of nowhere how long you going to let it sit in corner till you realize your not going to finish it . Showed him my work what I can do and he agreed it would be better off in my possession and with as many mopars I've had /worked on I knew more then him (he was a Ford guy) so he wasn't happy but let it go anyways

I'm thrilled kinda wanted it at $8000 but after unloading stuff I found 69 grill center and mint tail lights and some other high dollar parts he failed to metion so I'm happy

Was the Challenger released in late 1968?
No. They were introduced for the 1970 year model in late 1969 though.

The E body cars siphoned off what would have been B body sales.
The '70 Satellite also saw a drop in sales due to the E body Plymouth being released.

Let the market decide now, what’s more valuable.

Wow, look at the 68, it dropped. I don’t believe these insurance estimates but they tell the market.

Yeah...Go ahead and believe those evaluations!

I'd put a '68 above the '70 but to value it 33% less than a '69 ??

I got to side with Greg .
I know 69 is very popular I say rt 68 are top notch then rt 70 then rt 69
Then I feel non rt gos 69-70 about even then 68

I would prefer a 70 easier to Daytona it !
I've now had one of each year

I do like all three years, I’m just giving him crap. When I was driving my 68 around, nobody offered to buy it like they did when I’m driving my 69.

Are you keeping your Caddy, Corvette and Deuce now?

Corvette sold the other day to the charger guy .
The deuce and caddy are gonna go still I need sole focus in this charger and the fund s .
I'm also selling a 1915 model T and 1981 dodge d250
And possibly the 94 GMC roll back I bought not long ago after I fix the hyd hoses

The ‘70 Charger is my favorite. I like all 3 years, but the ‘70 ushered in high back buckets, pistol grip shifter, and the 440 Six Pack option. My car has all 3!

I do think the body color front bumper option would have been kool. And when I repaint my car F7, I will do that.

Here’s some pics from August 1969, and you can see on this red one it looked good.

I didn't pay $20000 I got it for $10000 because of basically what you guys pointed out !
This is the best news in the thread so far. I didn't want to offend you yesterday after seeing the pics, so I kept my mouth shut. Even in todays market, this is not a 20K car, and I would have told you to not pay more than 10. Worked out just perfect - great minds think alike, huh? Non R/T car with no fender tag gives you the option to build it however you want imo. Just me, but I always like to stick with colors that were available on that model year. Yes, purple is a cool color, but to me doesn't look right on any cars older than a 1970. Anyway, congratulations and enjoy the build. You did good :drinks:.

With a bit of finish welds it will be worth alot more .
But at this point I'd doesn't matter I'm not letting another charger get away .

I've had about 5 people ring doorbell this morning to buy it! I went out and painted not for sale on it till I get it moved around back today
