X 2, Nice looking ride.. Ive only had one C-Body, an 59 Imperial but float down the highway is a great way to put it, they do ride great, never cared for the cornering in them but always the ride quality!

OKAY, you don't need to yell at me, I didn't like the cornering on the D-Body, BUT, i did like the ride! lol.
Gollie, Shazzam, Get a rope and hang me man, don't hold back.. ROFL.

Shhh..

I love the C body cars and that one looks like a very nice ride and I can see why you miss it. I sold a 66 Fury III 383 comando car that would run like crazy and had more power then I wanted to see what the limit was....Sigh I miss it now and I still have the data plate and know the new owner and he doesnt want it.

Thanks for the kudos ya'll. Sellers remorse I guess because that car was a lot of me when it left the stable. Still got the 66 Plymouth Satellite...I know I know Dawg...Pics, Pics, Pics. Kinda hard when I am working so hard on it to get it back on the road. Do have tons of pics though to relive the memories...

have you had a sport BB C body Richard?

Reminds me of a low mileage 67 300 I traded for a 70 EV2 Satellite Convert. I still miss that 67 300 and a 67 B5 383 Sport Fury I used to have. I still appreciate the Big "C's! too!

Out of the mouth of a little Man

Nope and I don't think that I'll ever have a desire for one.

Small mindedness at its best there Rich. My C Body would eat up others when they tried to prove to me how better they were. After my re-build of the engine it was pushing 375 hp. But then a small minded person like yourself wouldn't be able to see over the dash without a couple of phone books to prop you up....Get a Life will ya????:icon_fU:

But, back in the day, the only two things that a C-body was good for was (A) being a ghetto glider or (B) an organ donor. If you needed a 440 to rebuild, that's where you got them from along with a few nuts bolts, screws & other small trinkets that would fit in a more desirable B-body.

Sorry I touched a nerve with you. The engine shot does look nice and I'm sure that the rest of the car is nice, but whether you (or anyone) likes or dislikes what I say, it's pretty much fact.

Only in your minds eye there Rich. Typical of those that can only see the glass as half empty....

Now boys, play nice. Richard likes to throw his opinion, usually against the grain of the post, into any and many threads. Hey, he doesn't like the car. Does that matter, if you do like the car? Not in the slightest. He gets a kick outta being a smartass. I use Facebook to do the same thing, so I gotta smile when he does it. And for the record, although I almost never do this, C-Bodies or D-Bodies (whichever this car is) isn't really my cup of tea either. It looks cool, but I like my Mopars more curvy and monstrous, so 1967- 74 for me all the way. But I can see why you miss it.

I have to say that 95% of the time, people regret selling Mopars. There should be a sticky: "Don't EVER sell a classic Mopar unless you absolutely hate it and never want to see it again (which I can't imagine anyone on this board ever feeling), or you're about to starve without the money!"

God damn, I'm procrastinating at work today... :)

That sounds kinda allot like you sometimes...LOL... sorry Pabster, I couldn't resist that one, you could leave the God part off & just use Damn on your many posts too... I'm sure it offends many people or rubs some the wrong way too... just a thought

Well, I dropped out of the Political Thread, so you don't have to read my opinions that ain't with the herd over there anymore. As far as using "God damn" in my posts? Sorry I touched a nerve with you, but I will respectfully not be censoring my posts to that level.

Just yesterday, I was at a junk yard in RI yesterday that has a ton of old Mopars looking for a '68 power window switch retainer for my '68 Charger. Knowing that it would be a waste of time to look through the Dodges & Plymouths, I set my sights on looking at the old Chryslers and eventually I found one in some old 66 or 67 Chrysler hulk. You're going to hate this, but I cared so little about the car that I didn't even look at what model it was. Once inside, I attacked that fiberboard door panel with the precision that my straight blade screwdiver would allow, because it was more important to get the part I needed out without bending it than saving an old Chrysler door panel. Call me small minded, but that old Chrysler makes a better organ donor than a driveable car.

C-Bodies or D-Bodies (whichever this car is) isn't really my cup of tea either.

Let me translate: Chrysler land yatchs means so little to Pabster that he doesn't even know (or care) if it's a C or a D body.

Couldn't have put it better myself.

But this thread has brought up an interesting question. (Sorry for going off on a tangent) What old cars are valuable? What old cars are worth saving? What old cars could you care less about? For me, it all comes down to looks. I could care less about many 4 doors out there, no matter what the year. Why? Hmm. Coupes just do it for me, and in general, manufacturers put more design pizzazz into 2 doors. But it is weird that since I've gotten into my Charger, in general I'm a lot more conscious about old cars out there, no matter what make or year. And if I see them destroyed, I'm not usually feeling good about it.

I was watching Top Gear the other day, and on this episode they set about abusing and destroying British Leyland cars from the 60's-70's in a series of challenges. These cars were shoddily built, you couldn't ever buy them here- what do I care if they get abused and destroyed? And yet there was a little pang when they ripped them to shreds... probably because they don't look like anything else on the road these days. And you can't ever bring those cars back. Once Top Gear reduced them to garbage, off they go to the dump.

So Richard, shame on you for tearing up an old Chrysler door panel. It's like the Dodo bird- not pretty to look at, but once it's gone, it's never coming back! :)
