If you had to pick a non Mopar?

For me it'd either be a Hakosuka Skyline or a 240z if I didn't have my Belvedere.

My tastes outside of Mopar tend to lean towards the eccentric. Off the top of my head? A Citroen SM. A 71-73 Mustang. A VW Thing.

Yes, I know I'm crazy. :)

This one is easy. I would have a 1969 bare bones Chev. Biscayne, rock crusher, with a built 427.

Dude, you like some Fugly cars.

Wow that is such a hard question, lets see 66,67 chevelle,63-65 nova,68-72 cutlass,62-67 impala, any mopar of the 60`s oh sorry got off track .69-71 Mustang. There are so many nice cars out there from the 60`s and early 70`s I can`t name them all,it was a great time for American cars and of cource our mopars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For me it would be a 70 torino cobra. There was one in my neighborhood back when all I could aford were beaters. It was a black 429 4 speed. Even then I wished I had a big block mopar to see how fast it was. At that time I had a /6 and a poly. So I left him alone.

Many years ago I almost bought a rusty green '71 GTO. I was driving a decent '70 Barracuda at the time. I wanted it really bad and the seller was only asking $800, but I was flat broke and couldn't come up with the cash. If I had been able to swing the car it's interesting to think if I would have stayed a Mopar guy or moved over to the GM camp. I guess things work out for a reason but I still wish I had that car.

Maybe another 69 BB nova or a 69 Z28 that has seemed to elude me.Over the years 4 69 Camaros,2 plain janes a RS and a SS but never a Z28.

My last muscle car before my 3 Belvedere I currently have was a 1965 Ford Galaxie 500xl. I loved that car, put a 428 Cobra Jet in it, and man would it go. Sadly I had to sell it when the economy tanked. I was actually on the hunt for another one when I found my 66 Belvedere. Oddly enough when I used to try to explain what a Galaxie was to people who didn't know, I would tell them it looked alot like the car in the movie Tommy Boy, which was a 67 GTX.
I also would love to have a 64 Thunderbolt with a 427. I also love a Ford Maverick. I have a 73 Maverick Grabber, kind of an overlooked car I think on the muscle car scene, if you can call them a muscle car, they are different than what you see at every car show anyhow.

Hey, weren't those different engines? I always thought the Ram Air IV's were 400 cid. The 1970 455 HO was just a D port head available on the large cars, the round port 455 HO came out in 1971 for the Trans Am. But they're all pretty fast. I had a '74 Formula 400 4-speed and even with the smog controls, it was very quick. Also a '72 LeMans Sport 455 HO convertible that I got for $1000. I had no idea at the time that they made only 33 of them.

As for the '69 T/A, I used to ride my bike to school past a '69 T/A convertible, not having a clue what a rare car it was. It was just parked on the side of the road in the rain, a daily driver for someone. This would have been about 1973-74 at the time.

TA

mine would be the 1978 TRANS AM i have always thought that was a cool car!
