Is California finally going fall into the ocean on Tuesday?

LOL nothing like disputing FACTS with one's OPINION. Where I live here in beautiful Amish country(Lancaster county) my County tax rate dropped .8 this year I bet there is not too many places in the US that can say that for 2018. We have the lowest Millage Rate probably in the state.
You’re a pretty humerous fellow yourself. I’m happy for you living in a log cabin without running water or electricity. I’ll bet your butt gets cold in that outhouse in the beautiful PA winters. But what ever blows your dress up. I’ll be at the beach tomorrow enjoying the fresh ocean air and 80* weather. Try to steer clear of Three Mile Island - rumor has it you might “grow” some balls....

Pa is a beautiful state, its not Florida and Florida is not Colorado, i think you all get the idea.

I can't believe I am gonna do this... Steve has spoken! PA really has lots to offer beautiful Lakes, Mountains, State Parks, Great hunting & fishing, close to the shorelines, Good economy, Affordable housing, Reasonable taxes, Beautiful seasons, Plenty of Farms, vineyards and orchards, and close to the Chesapeake Bay where I can take my camper and take my boat out and get some beautiful Maryland Blue claw crabs!!!

Just one question - how did you get your Mopar to run on nuclear waste? I understand it’s plentiful there and yes gas is quite expensive in CA. Mostly because we have emission standards here. But I’m sure you spend a lot of time here and know the state quite well.

Fine by me if Mother Nature dumps Boston into the ocean. I'm far enough inland where it won't matter. In fact, I could end up with ocean front property and my property value will go up. Cash out for the big bucks an mover farther inland.

It's a win-win situation.

:thumbsup::thumbsup:
For what I have seen of elevations in the Boston area and north would not take much change and there would be lots of ocean property's. Just have to raise the homes some more is all.

I dont understand just what is it you cant believe your going to do. Yes your PA is a beautiful place. My family at one time spent a great deal of time in the Poconos. My parents lived there and are interned there. The Poconos are still beautiful but not the same as they once were, you can read that as crime drugs and welfare. I still have family there. What i dont by into is this liberal nonsense so many of like to flap your gums about. NYS is equally as beautiful as PA. As far as the city itself its a great place to visit with many things to do. The weather in CA compared to were we live is trying to compare apples to oranges.

Your the one living with women who now have Balls guys like you and your state pay and support that type of thing so I am sure you love growing balls it seems it's on your mind...I got a beautiful house on 1.5 acres with deer, humming birds, Owls, Hawks and now even Bald Eagles. Oil heat and fireplaces make it nice and cozy winter. Your probably one in a tent out there on your FREE cell phone from the government!!! Watch the Fresh air from the beach as it smells like Ammonia from all the feces and Urine from MEXICO and other things.

Please smell it, swim in it and PLEASE take a Drink of that California water for me!

Steve would make a great moderator because he trys to be fair. I appreciate his posts for that. I just have to question your sanity when you espouse the virtues of PA and ignore all the obvious beauty and benefits of CA. Yes there are problems - three mile island not withstanding - Oops that’s in PA.... BTW I hear your beautiful blue crabs glow in the dark so they’re easier to catch.

Steve I was joking that I am actually gonna agree with you.... New York has beautiful places to we visit Long Lake in Adirondack mountains every year as a Client of mine has 800 acres that he bought off the Whitneys.

Knuckleheads are just that - and you prove my point with every post. Get a good nights rest as you’re going to need it digging yourself out in the morning, scraping the windshield, and finding your way to work on your glow in the dark back roads. You must have a lot of energy posting all that media garbage you seem to dig up. It doesn’t really surprise me - after all you probably have to shovel a 1/2 mile driveway up to your sanctuary - or as the Amish call it - outhouse - in the morning. Enjoy - I’ll be walking on the beautiful beaches of Laguna.......

It's gonna take more than a couple of positive posts I'm afraid :p

How about we try and tone down the "GetX'd vs the East Coast" a little here?
Please try and remember why we are all here. :moparsmiley:

Now I don't even want to live in Pa anymore.
(And I have a heated outhouse, jeez)

I call first dibs on your all’s MOPAR’s when California drops off! :D

And to the ones saying my land is better than your land, this is America, The Beautiful!!’ :usflag:

Thanks to Uncle Sam, i’ve been to 49 states in my life (missed Hawaii). Every place has some great things to see and fun things to do (some more than others). After living in Korea, I know that living in any US state is better than just about anywhere else in the world. My current state does a lot of things that I don’t agree with and had tons of graft going on in our government. But I stay because I love my home and the places I can easily reach by car, to do the things I like doing.

I was the chief engineer for the beddown of the KC-10s when they came to McGuire from Louisiana. Many of the pilots remarked that they thought they were at the wrong place when they came in for their first landing here. They explained that as they came in on the approach, they saw not much more than forests and a couple of pretty small towns. They said this can’t be NJ because there aren’t any refineries and big cities like Newark or Camden filling the state wall-to-wall. I asked many of them where they got the idea that NJ was al refineries and big cities. After careful consideration, many of them said they thought it was from Saturday Night Live as they mocked NJ. (Others didn’t recall where they got the impression, but it had been their real impression prior to getting here.). Many of them were mad that they got sent to NJ, also prior to getting here. Quite a few of these non-NJ airmen settled permanently here when their careers were fulfilled. The moral of the story is don’t prejudice yourselves until you’ve lived there and had the chance to take it all in for yourself. I’ve loved every place I’ve lived in, for different reasons. As the song said, love the one you’re with. I presently love NJ.

Here are some photos of my place in the woods.

Adirondack is beautiful but its not my thing in the dead of winter

As 68GTX correctly stated NJ has some very pretty towns. Nothing beats the Jersey shore. Id like retire there to be closer to my daughter but property taxes can be high.
I live a hop skip and jump from Newark, in fact i can see the planes arriving and departing from my attic window. The refineries are opposite my island. My family came to this part of the country to build a better life and i stayed. At one time this was the place to make a living. If you want to hustle it still is. If you bought real estate way back when, most likely you made big money. My neighborhood is very desirable and its still a sellers market and has been for years and years. I can roll out of bed and roll down the street and have all sorts of stores (not strip malls ) all within a short walk. The neighborhood is older and there is no new construction other than renovations of existing homes. No i cant open my door and go shooting. Everything is a trade off in life. I wanted the stability of a good job and when i was coming up the ranks, there were many good employment opportunities. So it worked for me so far. The other fact if it was not for the medical care and hospitals in the city, i doubt my wife would have made it this far. What the future holds i have no idea. I will tell you when i take the ferry into the city and pass the Statue of Liberty i have at times thought about when my ancestors also passed it over well over a hundred years ago. Where they were back then and were i am now.

upstate new york is beautiful, my wife and went there about 8 years ago, thru Vermont, Connecticut, and boston maine to bar harbor for lobster, there's beauty in every state I've been to, you just have to find it, well except Ohio maybe, just kidding, before the buckeye death threats start coming in.(GO BLUE). Michigan has areas I wouldn't be caught in after dark without and gun and a buddy to cover me, but then all along the lake shores, the northern lower and the upper peninsula can be amazing. maybe everyone should show the beauty, and what they like about where they live so maybe others can go there and see it when there in those states. My wife and I plan on exploring the country when she retires in a few years with a small motorhome (glorified American picker van), Ludington is amazing great beaches on lake Michigan, there's a ferry there that will take you and your car across the big lake to Wisconsin. trout fishing in the streams near Gaylord. civilization at traverse city, Snowmobiling in the U.P. near lake of the clouds in the western side, that's some of the best parts imo.

I can dispute at least one thing without even thinking about it - PA is a joke in every respect by comparison. Sorry for your plight and be careful of falling glass......
Yeah, PPG.....Pittsburgh Plate Glass!

X'd??? He didn't start slinging the insults. As for the insulters,, so happy you won't be coming to California.

Adirondack is beautiful but its not my thing in the dead of winter

I agree. I talked to a friend of mine up there about 3 weeks ago. It was -21 at his place, his son works on a logging crew further North and it was -31 and he could not get any of the equipment to start... Too cold for me.

X'd??? He didn't start slinging the insults. As for the insulters,, so happy you won't be coming to California.

Sure he did. He made insults against me personally and my home and made up stories about toxic waste, glowing crabs again nothing factual just insults with no merit. I stated facts NONE of which has been disputed. Cars run on toxic waste? Are you 2 years old? What am I gonna try and refine the Pacific's water from Japans radio active waste that now lines your beaches? I am confused that's not cost effective. It gets real old cause as shown in this post and on most boards Californians insult everyone from other states cause it's warm. Well as I CLEARLY pointed out there is a lot more to having sunshine year round that makes a great State. Again I stated FACTS none of which can be disputed so then there were many weak things said back to me that absolutely have no merit making the poster look even more foolish... Don't like the Facts? Not my fault don't hate the messenger..I know for sure we have nothing that looks like this when entering the highways here (RT 5) California so I will stay away. I am sure these people could use some out houses but I am sure that's not the case....

This beautiful beast I bought last year does not run on toxic waste......
