Just started following this build and it is amazing!

I am SERIOUSLY contemplating painting mine the original F8 instead of T5 (paint was bought - but after a test spray it was way too dark with not enough Bronze).

could you tell me what paint you used and if any tweaks needed to be made to the formula to arrive at the color on the car?

Thanks!

no tweaks. dupont croma base 4988K. Chrysler F8. I also used DuPont value shade VS4 sealer. it is almost primer gray. but be warned, if the body is not nearly arrow straight, this color shows it about like black will. thanks for finding this thread and posting up. I am usually pretty good about helping out so if you have any questions or need a pic just let me know. thanks again. Lenny.

Ron I know that you have all the ability needed to accomplish the exact same result. there is enough help here to do any job that you find on your car. and don't forget that its spring. time to get things going again.

Oh man . . . I haven't checked in here in a while . . . Wow . . . I'm jealous . . .

wish that I was working on putting mine back together already . . .

keep up the great work ! ! !

thanks for checking in on me. you know how these things go sometimes. I have been watching your thread too. when I was a kid my best friend had a 66 coronet 500 vert. I just love those cars, and I have the same feeling about your car. his was a factory 383 four speed car. too much fun.

The dash is in, the steering column and wheel, all the kick panels and sill plates all the seat belts and shoulder harnesses and coat hangers, rear windshield trim clips. all in and done. To say that I am happy would be a gross understatement.
