Does anyone here go to this? I know people who don't because it's right after the Spring Fling down south and they go there instead.
I'm planning to go this year.

21-29? That's a long run. Smack in the middle of Spring Fling and MATSLV.
Looking at the schedule, it is the same weekend as Vegas.

We have been there three times, really great cruise night before the show, the whole city seems to be lined up along the cruise route here is a link to a video from one of the times we were

The cruise is fun and the show is better.... The last time we were at Spring Fling the dust was so bad from the all the dirt it was really a mess...

I've seen some youtubes of the cruise. I intend to take a week off work, drive up 1/101 a few hundred miles turn inland & come down 5 in time to do the cruise in Redding on Friday.
Then decide if I want to go back to work or not...

So...
It never cleared up & began raining 15 minutes before the big cruise. The cars didn't start moving until about 6:30. The iphone pics aren't high quality due to darkness and drizzle but this is interesting enough to share:

We had a great time. My wife has become a 'car person' and wants to go back next year.
We are grateful for travelling mercies as others were not so fortunate. On the way up someone a few cars ahead of us hit a BALE OF HAY in the fast lane at about 80 which destroyed the front of vehicle, no injuries there.
On the way home there was a horrific accident involving a big rig that obliterated another vehicle. All we saw afterwards was a smoldering pile and 1 tire/wheel beside the road. Horrible, horrible!
