I haven't figured out how to post video, and I'm lazy er, uh, busy with the kids. On a serious note, I don't know how to post video and my better half works soooooo much during the summer, that most of "car time" is late at night after they've gone to sleep. So firing up the car would not sit to well and I like having a better half----happy wife, happy life! Thanks for the compliment, one other note, some of the work I do is done at work on lunch break, if it won't take to long, such as the billet pulley.

Looking good 5.7, be careful with the overspray from that primer around the kids toys and stuff, you don't want them putting it in their mouthes. I just finished going back through your build, what did you use for a converter (inspection) cover on the trans. There must have been one on there when you got it?

I still have the stock piece, but probably wont use it. I dont see the need for it.

Trunk lid primered, now moving onto the hood.

Trunk lid primered, now moving onto the hood.

Give it 2-3 coats of primer, guide coat it, block it out with 150-180 on the longest board you have, then 2 more coats of primer.

This polyester primer is some thick stuff, so I'll do what you suggest.

Well I haven't done much since the trunk lid got squirted, but I gotta haul *** and get the hood done before the Fall Fling in Madera next month----I don't want any excuses for placing anything less than 1st in the under construction category, but my luck, 3 cars will enter and I'll get 3rd place---AGAIN! My arms are gonna get tired of sanding-lol.

Trim holes welded up on the hood, a minute amount of filler and they dissapeared. Now sanding my arms off on the underside of the hood---maybe I should just blast it off and be done in 10 minutes or less.

Well the blaster crapped out on me, so I had to do it by hand, took about 45 minutes. The under side of the hood then was primered, dried all night, then primered the top. My dad stopped by to help me put on the hood and decklid. I must say the rebuilt hood hinges worked flawlessly. I mounted the scoop, man it does look bitchn' if I do say so myself, so I some clean up to do for the show this coming Sat. I imagine that there will be tons of questions and I'll do my best to answer them.

Well the show came and went, and this year I got 1st place in the under construction category. I was tickled pink! Now there was another car, a 68 or 69 Charger, B5 Blue(just out of the paint booth), a built 440 with the serpintine belt conversion. This car was really nice and personally, I think he should have 1st. Now the down side----there was only 2 cars, so at worst I would have gotten 2nd. My dad said now that I got a first place win, do I need to bring it back next year, I said no, unless it's totally finished, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

There were lots of nice cars, even a 32 Plymouth with a 392 Hemi, that was bad ***, so I voted for that one in it's class. All in all, a good show, met lots of people, saw some really cool cars, and got to spend some time with dad, couldn't have been better.

I scored 2 very nice grills, so can anyone say "SUPERSTOCK"!! tHEY WERE DIRT CHEAP!!! Gonna give it a shot, if it turns out crapy, I still have my original (excellent shape), I will just use it in the stock look. Fall Fling was great, my dad got some trim REALLY CHEAP, picked up his headers, and we had a great time, can't wait for spring!!!

See page 9 "your fav 62-65 b bodys", you'll see what I talking about, look at the dodges.

My Dad is out of the hospital. he had cancer in his neck. So they removed that and all his lympth nodes, next is radiation and very mild chemo. He says he can go back to work in 3 weeks so that will make a total of 6 weeks and back in the game he goes. This is why I haven't been on here too often lately, but he's getting stronger by the day and my worries diminish as time goes on. I'll get the grill going sometime this week, as I found some great examples to go by--superstock look here I come.
