late model hemi into early b bodies

I am one happy sumb-tch. My car was delivered this evening, and the first thing I did was screw the doc's orders of not lifting or pushing, pulling anything over 5 pounds. I couldn't get it the trailer fast enough. Now I'm paying the price, my eye and head are killing me, and I'm reminded of what I tell the guys at work....pain is just weakness leaving the body!!! I must have gotten soft over the last week cause this hurts like hell, oh well, that's what I get for not listening to the doc. Anyway, the car looks good, pics will be taken and posted tommorrow, time for some meds and some sleep.

Just one other thing, my better half is happy. Not sure if it's because it looks good or that it came in under budget...I'm leaning toward the money side.lol!!

so i guess the doc had some reasons. but being retired military i keep remembering that "pain is my friend" it lets you know your still alive. hope you didn't set your self back

Well it was nothing that tylenol with codine didn't take care of. I also remember my drill sgt. saying pain is weakness leaving the body, god bless that man. He turned a imature boy into high speed bad ***.

I took pics and now I cant find the usb cord to download them, man this pisses me off. I'll keep looking.

i bet it's right where you left it

Even if it's right where I left it, the kids, or wife might have put it somewhere, and to top it off, I cant see all too well. It took me a half hour to get one stinking hood bumper on, talk about slow, I'm screwed.lol!!

take a deep breath.. you'll get the next one on in twenty minutes LOL i guess it will take some adjusting to but you know you'll whip it

Well it took 2 hours to get the door bumpers, hood bumpers and hood latch put on. So now it opens with the latch and closes with very little effort, I'm amazed! Found the usb cord, better half used it last....personally, I would have blamed the rugrats.lol!!

Heres some pics...enjoy.

Lookin good Zack. I should be getting mine back within a couple of weeks. ( I think )

Joe, when you get yours back, post the car ****.

Rapid, I'm sitting on on the moon, couldn't be more pleased. For the price I paid, I think I got a damn fine job.

Tin, thanks for the compliment.

My eye hurt so damn bad today that I just sat around the house and did squat. The pain is now starting to subside, maybe I'll get some sleep tonight...

5.7 the car looks great! Just wanted to say I had eye surgery a few years back and the healing is pretty quick. The eye is the quickest healing part of the body.

I am looking forward to seeing your car at SPRING FLING!!!
Looks great Zack, just don't push the healing process. I am totally depending on you doing as I say here because were I you I would be out there working on it also!

Hitit...When my eyes took shrapnel during the Persian Gulf War, both suffered MAJOR injury, the right eye was so bad (optic nerve severed) it could not be saved, I have a prostetic right eye, left eye was salvageable but required 2 long surgeries to fix it, now 20 years later it had to get fixed again (lens replacement) and the healing for this will take awhile. Normal time for the procedure is 1/2 hour, mine was 6 and they found scar tissue, and the "fingers" that hold the lens in I was missing a 1/3 and and rest were damaged, so they put the new lens in front of the iris. To sum it up, my eye was so badly damaged from the get go, I'm surprised it was to be fixed this time, and now I got to put in glacoma drops everyday for the rest of my life. Funny though, I spent the first half of my life with 2 eyes, now I have 1 for the rest of it....but I would not change it for anything!!! Should be back to normal in a week or so.

Darius...I dont think it'll be ready for Spring Fling, but I'll do my best to try.

Dodge330... I love the upside down, backwards writing. I turned the monitor upside and read it, lol!!

Well I managed to get the scoop bolted on, hood to cowl seal, radiator to hood seal, and the condensor mounted. Hell at this rate I might get t done before xmas....next year!!lol

you're doing good 5.7 in no time you'll find yourself putting on the last piece of trim
