Got the heater working good, and no leakes inside the cabin. The sure grip is working MUCH better now that I got the synthetic fluid out and refilled with 80-90w and the ferd friction modifier. The rear air shocks took a dump cause the rubbed my sway bar mounts and besides they gave me a rough ride. The new leaf springs and my kyb's and the ride is soo much better.

Rear sway bar is coming out and gonna go up for sale. I somehow got the passenger side end link mount lower on the frame rail than the drivers side and I'm tired of screwing with it, so out it comes in the morning.

Sway bar is hanging in the garage gathering spider webs and each time I look at it, it pissess me off that I got it in wrong, oh well, live and learn.

The rear is still kinda tight, so I'm gonna add another 4 oz. of the ferd stuff for a total of 8 oz., that should do it.

I've been fighting a cooling issue. I'm running a 180 t-stat, stock is 203, and my fans come on at 200 off at 185. I've found the lower radiator hose was leaking, got that fixed, inside heater connections leaked, fixed those and now found the pressure side of the heater hose from the manifold leaking, so I'm gonna get another new hose and redo it. That should take care of the cooling.

Trans was shifting out of 1st at 45-4700 rpm, I was getting short changed. So I broke out the tuner and upped the rev. limiter, got firmer shifting, and used the 91 octane tune. What a difference, so now I'm gonna get a line pressure upper thingy. What is does is plung inline with the harness and ups the line pressure another 15-30 psi under wide open throttle.

Also got to figure out why it will only down shift to 3rd when I punch it on the freeway. It just might be the spacing on the trans gears, I'll take it to the dealer and see what they got to say.
I swear I'm gonna need new rear tires. It's just sooo easy to light them up!!!

have you got a preesure tester to make sure the system holds proper numbers?

Nah, dont have one. I did get a heater hose changed, and let it run without the cap on, got alot of air out but I expected that since I had the system opened. Didnt have time to drive afterwards, working on my dads front suspension for his 70 challenger rt.

to bad you could pump up the system to your caps max pressure and see if it will hold for the specified time. if it bleeds down you'll be able to find your leak or weak link

The cap is from Becool, so it should be good. I'm gonna drive it today to see what happens. A buddy of mine had a suggestion, he said that maybe the temp gauge sending unit is really sensitive and is reacting "fast" to the coolant going by the sending unit. I put some royal purple ice in the radiator, again we'll see what happens.

I think I figured out why my temp is fluctuating. Again. this is a theroy but it does make sense. The radiator hoses are expanding, and not making the fluid go thru the block. So to test this, I'm gonna get a stainless radiator hose kit (black powder coated) with silicone couplers and see what happens.

I also went and got the better half some lunch, it started raining really hard, wipers kept up with no problem and if I punch it doing 30 it will send the rear tires a spinning. Got the dragging brakes fixed by adjusting the brake pedal push rod to the booster and backing off the e-brake cable alittle. Now the rear drums aren't trying to melt, lol!

I've decided to find a 6.1 intake manifold, they are so sexy, and install it. I've read that you will lose some low end cause the runners are shorter, but my adapters are 1.5 inches tall and will give me back the low end and I'll gain some on the top end.

Not yet, cant make my mind up on wheather to get the manifold or a set of new clutches for the sure grip or a new detroit trutrac the one with gears. Decisions, decisions!!

Hey Zack, I haven't checked your thread in ages, I"m glad to see I've come back to see the beast is done, and even better to know she breaks traction so easy (puts a grin on my face for when I'm done haha). Love the colour, the gunmetal grey is so tough, I considered this colour for a while on my Charger.

I hope you're close to being 100% sorted and you get lots of trouble free miles under your belt.

Well Darius the car isn't quite finished. It's drivable, but still has some bugs to work out. A beauty is shot (tires up in smoke) is coming as soon as I can. Might get a 6.1 intake manifold, but not sure as of yet.
