I'm almost ready to start on it again, though.

In the meantime, here's some of the bro-in-law's Sat.
Just painted yesterday.

We FINALLY talked him into painting it back the original color!
It's a 361 Commando car with factory A/C.
A 67 383 is going in it.

I always liked that color. If my car wasn't an original 881 code blue car I might go that route but that blue has me sold!

My New Toy

Just picked it up last Sun. nice car. Play with it awhile, and tinker with it over the winter. Plan on driving a lot. Take a look

Great color!!! Is that Medium Tan Metallic? The 66 Satellite my uncle owned back in the 60's was that color and thats the car that made me fall in love with Mopars.

It's YY1, same color as mine.
Medium Bronze "Poly". I think they called it medium tan in 67.
Both 66 big block A/C cars in the same Color.
How cool is that?
Bet that'll draw a crowd at the cruise-ins.

The car that turned me on to Mopar was a 69 Road Runner in what looked like butterscotch.
The one that sealed the deal was a 66 Coronet 440 in white with a blue interior.

My mom had a 66 Newport 4D when I was about 9.
Yellow with black int. 383.

I loved that car.

Loved the "slab side" (Elwood Engel) styling.
Loved the thick doors.
Loved the instrument cluster.
Loved the shiny copper upside down reflection in the horn center.

I just purchased a 66 a couple weeks ago, it's a nice little driver but still needs alot of work! This will be my first project like this and can say the info on this site is very helpfull!
