Lets start a real life shop tour thread

All the shops look great. I started in an apartment parking lot with some hand me down tools from my Dad, keeping my old iron running in all weather conditions, to get to work. This is a 50'x30' pole barn with 16' walls. Ruffed in plumbing 240 volt 100 amp. waste oil heat, it has a 50'x12' lean to with no walls that will be my cold storage. I know its not going to be big enough, but the older I get the more I will liquidate to my Son as we build his shop.

You need heavy duty shelves up on the mezzanine with a hoist our lift to put trannys or other heavy items up there.
Great shop going there.

I too like mezzanines, hard to have a high ceiling and not take advantage. Mines not as tall but I can walk around almost completely upright, still tons of storage not to mention it's great for speakers.

Underneath to the left will be the bathroom. I'm taking advantage of the 2X6 walls to build shelves into them.

I rent this space and even though it's nice, I definitely envy all of you who have your own! The upside is that I can walk to it from my house, it is hidden away very well and owned by a long-time family friend so I have no worries about safety. It's 30x40 outside dimensions, well insulated and has a new propane heater. The floor looks cool but definitely not a floor to be doing any heavy work on. Can't weld and can't install a lift in there. I work on the floor with a tiny 30 gal. compressor. Even painted the underside of my Challenger laying on my back with the car on jack stands. I was using folding tables for workbenches until I built that 4x8 bench last month. Been in here for 3 years - so far, so good. Great post - I love seeing what everyone else has. Great motivation to build my own some day!

I only have a 24x23 attached garage with a single 16' door. barely enough room to do any work on the Dodge. I'm a novice and have no compressor (yet) so it's all hand tool and some use of an electric impact that my brother let me borrow. The other half of the garage has some furniture that my wife picked up a few years back to redo and some other furniture to sell, sorry no pics of mine right now. Now here is a picture of part of my brothers pole barn. This is one I'm jealous of. The center 4 post lift is moveable. Has a sweet 70 charger on it and a cuda or challenger race car underneath. There is a lean to on the right that is the full length of the pole barn, I believe that is 10 or 12 feet wide itself. I still don't know the actual dimensions of the building. He wants to put up a wall just past the garage door on the left side of the picture because they are now doing body work in the far end.

40x40 Block and mortar. A john with shower.High enough for a loft with shelves.And a 9000 lbs lift. 3 cars with room to work or squeeze a forth in but it gets tight.

I alos have shop envy. My Moparium as my buddies have named it. I have just a two car attached garage. Next big purchase will be a 4 post hoist to start stacking them since I have a 10'-4" ceiling. I have another 70' Charger & a 70' Road Runner to get in there someday. (Time to move for a bigger pole barn).

Funny how we all save parts and things for the "Some Day". Looks like many of us are on the same page. I just cleaned out my brothers 4 car garage after his passing.It took 2 months. I think all of his projects were of the "Some Day".

Haha ya, we all stumbled across parts or even whole cars thats a good deal. get amped up, take it apart ready to work on it, lose interest a month later then you have a whole car worth of parts scattered around and it stays that way for years and years. hell im going friday morning to get a 1950 chevy simply because the guys only wants scrap price for it, so for a 2 hour drive and $175, i can get about $500 in trims sold on ebay. then ill have this heap of rust sitting out in my woods till god knows when.... i keep telling my wife that i apologize in advance for when i die.
