Look what I found.....

The gentleman returned my email after I sent him pictures of the two guns he's interested in. He said, "so when can we get together and make this deal happen?" So it sounds like it's gonna happen. Only trouble is, now I gotta figure out how to get the car from Dothan, Alabama to Macon, Georgia. I could rent a trailer, but all I have is a Ranger. It is a V6 and will pull it I am sure.....but stopping is altogether different. Is there any of yall in the southeast that wants to maybe make a extra dollar or two? lol

youll be aAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT!.:headbang:

I think I am going to. I got access to a truck and trailer from a friend this morning, so I have that covered.

I like it cause it's a 65, too. Same year as me.

im not far behind you 67 here. ive always wanted a 65. ive owned 66.67.68.69.70 coronets but never a 65 YET

What a cream puff. I'm glad it's going to a good home. If I lived closer I'd help you get it. I have a feeling it will like that 383 just fine.

Yup. It's sittin down in the field right now. Kitty and I are fixin to go unload it and pull it up by the house with the tractor. Pictures to come. It's as solid as the seller said. Perhaps moreso. I got the broadcast sheet, which matches the fender tag. It's even an original V8 car which makes a V8 swap easier. I don't know which V8. I will post the fender tag if one of you kind gentlemen can decode it. And yup, it does have the early style 8 3/4. It doesn't look like it's been swapped out, either. Probably a left over from 64.

I have a '64 Polara with the old style 318 and a push button automatic transmission that i bought to repair an old convertible Polara i also have. I do not need the running gear from the 4 door car but it does run very well. If you think you might need it just let me know. I love the big block idea but those old 318's will surprise most folks by the amount of power they have right from the start. I may also have some other stuff you might need to complete your ride. Macon Ga. is really not very far from me I think it's about 150 miles. Good luck with your project.

Thats a nice car, and i agree with a 318 engine, with today's gas prices and what they will do, i like them. But all what you want, looks pretty good..

Thanks yall. Went to take pics and my camera batteries died. lol Might be tomorrow.

Very nice looking car Rob. It may not pull too bad with no motor or trans. It will be a little lighter.Noone you could borrow a 3/4 ton from for a day?

Oh I got it buddy. Thanks. It's sittin next to the house right now. ;)

Here it is. I tried to get all the trouble spots....as well as how surprising solid it is. I tried to get a shot of the fender tag. It didn't turn out. I'm gonna have to strip it because it's coated pretty thick. lol That's my friend John's Road Runner in the background. 73 340 4 speed numbers matchin car. Gotta do some work on it for him. Anyway, come to find out, the guy I got it from is Boyd Coddington's second cousin. His father painted the car with black primer because it was showing surface rust through the original paint. So it's never been painted or had body work done previously. I believe it. I see no signs of filler anywhere. Also, I'd bet it has well over a grand worth of trim on it. Only thing missing is the medallion on the trunk. I have the piece missing from the hood inside the car. I am stoked.
