Hey All,

Going to be putting together a 440 here shortly for the first time, and have decided to upgrade the rockers from the stamped steels.
I see Mancini has ductile irons, as does 440Source.
Anyone ever used the Mancinis? Wonder if they're the exact same products as the 440Source ones.

Did you call them and ASK?

If not why not ……

What are you going to do for push rods. If you do custom length 3/8 rods you will need to clearance the heads. Just a heads up that I wasn’t told at the time.

Custom pushrods will be special for length and end condition but 5/16” diameter will be fine and no clearancing will be required.

Agreed if you stay with 5/16. Smith Brothers Push Rods offer a .120 wall thickness pushrod.

Make sure you use the Hardened shafts for the rockers! Mancini has two kinds, one is soft and one is hardened.
You need to use the hardened ones so the rockers don't gall on the shafts. I forgot who makes them but I'll try
and find a pic and post it here.

Stanke makes the good ones. The Chrome shafts are a joke! Try to run a file over the shafts to see how hard they are.
My opinion is these are a must-have!

There’s no such thing as soft ones besides the same style rockers were used on the Max Wedge and the Max Wedge used the same standard shafts as the 361, 383, 413 and 426 Street Wedges did.
