MAXIMUM TIMING FOR RACE MOTOR

Anyway...I put my timing BACK from 38 to 35 for this last weekend's outing...I will post time slips tomorrow. Pretty happy.
That's great news Mike
Can't wait to see the results
Chevys like 38/40 degrees
Mopars like 34/36 from my experience

Mike, I think I said before, on the dyno mine liked 34/35*. It went down a little with 38*. Every combo is a little different though.

Thanks buddy. See ya at the track.
Ya know....if you are going to start talking to yourself with multiple identities, you need a little more sophistication with IP addresses, and computer tech wizardry....I spotted you straight away.

Mods manual,3rd chapter 6th subchapter that refers you back to the 3rd chapter,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Hi,
a friend of mine works on pro mod hemis.
He told me, that I better do not go over 34-35 degrees total timing.
everything above 36 degrees will kill your engine over the time, like burn your head gasket e.g.
My set up:
initial: 13 °
advance: 21 ° (blue bushing on the MSD distributor)
total: 34 degrees > all in at 2400rpm (light silver and blue spring in the MSD distributor) > no vacuum advance

engine: 572 cui hemi
Hi Po heads
10.25:1 street strip engine
102 octane pump gas
.640 lift
dur. 0.50 : 282

runs quite good > but still missing 500rpm in sec. and thrid gear...

So i decided to unblock SSR/W8/Chris just to see what all the excitement was. Hahaha, that's some funny sh!t, Chris. Don't worry, brother, no one knows you're W8, bro. They dont even suspect it.

So why do you insist on mucking up this thread for Mike Gaines?
Take it somewhere else please

Mr Gaines deserves to not have his thread sidetracked.
So have you actually gotten your car finished and racing it? I know some time ago you were contemplating joining ECNSSA but never did. And I understand you did join NENDRA but never showed up for a race. So whats up?

Gee guys, Hemi's & wedges are different animals. And new style wedge aluminum heads are different from old stock iron big block heads. Better chamber design & aluminum make for less total timing IMO.

Ok, so I mucked up a thread, my apologies, Mike Gaines. It already went to hell before I got here anyway. Just having a little fun at SSR's expense. Regarding my joining nendra, let's move this to a pm..
