I think the chemicals in the product attack the plastic over time and it becomes brittle.

Had one where the spray top broke free from the bottle while it was hanging from the edge of a bucket. It was a couple of years old at least. Over the years I've been buying spray bottles from the store and they seem to outlast all of the store bought sprays etc but now I don't own anything worth detailing lol

I had the same thing with a bottle of detail spray at Carlisle and took it to the Meguiar booth where they were selling products and no questions asked they handed me a new one. With this many people having issues with their containers I would think they know there is a problem and will fix it in the future. I do like their products and have only tried the red containers.

One of our customers when they received two brand new Dassault Falcon 2000 Corp Jets some years back , that we take care of in our hangars for flight support

One of the first things the chief pilot asked me to do was order two gallons of that very product to clean / wipe down the multi million dollar wood interior of both aircraft , straight from the company that installed the interior

Been using it ever since

I too have had these product packaging failures for as long as I can remember. AND, a with Both colored bottles! I think it's a marketing ploy to get you to come back and buy more, before you use up what you bought in the first place! Their products work Great! ....Their packaging however Sucks! BRILLIANT!!
