Non-Mopar? 1974 Ford XB Falcon GT. Been wanting one since I first saw Mad Max back in 1980.

Good luck Mate......they nearly don't exist....most of then ended their day's wraped around a pole or tree.....

X2. That gen Mustang is awesome as far as looks. The AMC Javelin/AMX is up there too.

Then there's the super random side of my car mania that likes some of the European offerings from the 70s. No, it's not a muscle car, but the Citroen SM is so sleek and unlike anything else. Granted, it's not particularly fast, and maintaining one would be a full time job. But there's nothing like 'em...

The SM was driving by the police in France and had the Masarati engine in it. Full time job it is...

always liked the amx jav's

A couple of observations...

This thread is proof that we are CAR guys(and gals-didn't forget you,Marla!) first and foremost. Yes,we are Mopar-loyal,but appreciate all that's out there. Now,that doesn't mean we'll sit around a fire and sing "Kumbaya" with the Bowtie Brigade, but we can (somewhat) peacefully co-exist.

Second;here's a couple of pics of the car I mentioned(way back on page 1) and 65Dodge knew of as well. Simply stunning:

Last,to MarPar...You tool around in a 250 Cali Spyder, you could pull all the redheads you could handle. Then again,it only takes one to create chaos in an otherwise peaceful existence. Ask me how I know...

Oh,Mar...when you pick up your Spyder, grab a '64 250 GT Lusso for me as well. Dark green, saddle interior, please. Could attract a couple of fine brunettes with that. Rachel Ray(yummy!) would fit just fine in the passenger's seat!

Or...Jennifer Love-Hewitt,unless detmatt gets her first...

I forgot the 70 Torino Cobra with the 429 SCJ in yellow with the black stripes.
And also an all red 62 Chevy Impala 409 with two 4's and dog dish hub caps. Ron

Hey, that's my 71 GT.

I almost bought another one last weekend at Daytona.

Had a 351 and shaker (and louvers and chin spoiler), but don't think they were original to the car.

Red, with nice quarters, running, driving.....$4500 OBO.

BTW, that car didn't handle NEARLY as good as it's contemparary Chrysler competition.

1970 MUSTANG
1972 chevelle(heavy chevy)
1963 bel air
1974 gran torino.
There is a guy that lives in the same town as me that has two mercury cyclones that have sequential v.i.n. tags.I believe they are 69's.

71 Torino is one of the nicest fords i think they made, looks and style.. thats what we drove to our honey moon in, my apartment cuz i took the weekend off just to get married. some honey moon, so ive heard for 30 plus years. lol.. Ours had a mural if im saying that right, strip on it.. It was a good car.. 302 automatic, i didn't really like that part. (auto) I think she has a pic somewhere of that car, maybe someone here can tell me what that murial type strip meant, if nothing, on it, it came new with it.. I never seen one like it in pictures of them any where.

Power per CID, the 302 is a MUCH better engine than the 351, especially in stock form.

That's why the 5.0 Fords in the 80s and 90s hung with and beat the 5.7 GMs.

The true "replacement for displacement", is efficiency.

66 Mustang Fastback......289 and 4 speed. Had one and it was fun and ran a 15.0 in the 1/4 mile which wasn't too bad in the mid 70's when I had it.

that was my moms first car, and my choice would personally be between my first favorite in a 1970 chevelle ss, or a 1967 chevelle ss

Ive only had one car stolen im my life and it was a 66 Ford mustang fast back, red with gold heavy metal flake racing stripe's, 289 hypo 4 speed... Never found it, but to this day i wonder if maybe it survived..
