mopar mega block

Mine are bushed. I said I couldn't remember the part #? I was trying to go by memory.
with the lifter boss raised .200+ those fit the bill.

running bushed lifters gives u a way to see if things r wearing and catch it before they destroy your motor vs needle bearings with No warning. just Boom.
those 66233E's r looking better all the time. Thanks.

The Isky Red Zones in my motor have over 800 paases. 310/805 spring pressure.
Doug

Mine has Red Zones. Seat height was the same as the Comps they replaced. They are bushed. Over 800 passes. Money well spent.
Doug
u r right,,the isky red zones do fit, i just got mine back from isky and test fitted them with the cam in place No bearings and there's appx 1/8" clearance between the link bar and the lifter boss.....i will send them back for a full rebuild/upgrade to the latest EZX roller....mine r dated 2016 and they said they have .007 play in them and the limit is .008....800.00 upgrade to the latest and greatest, they told me that they will have the Orange axles after upgrade... they were curious as to how long i ran them , several years of nothing but cruising and car shows...Always seems to be under construction, lol...still waiting on pistons, target race date, october bakersfield. many car shows and cruising before that.

its coming along Now, all machining done and a fresh coat of paint that will probably take a week to dry. cant tide detergent final wash it until it sets up.
main and rods set at .003 clearance , pistons at .005 . top rings at .025 , 2nd at .028 . isky EZ max lifters rebuilt and ready.. molnar 4.15 crank and 6.86 molnar rods with racetec 2816 pistons for a 11-2 CR....trickflow 270's. The Hemi Wedge !

That’s coming along real well and nice parts. What’s the final size?

505" ish, its like 504.++.....cant remember whether the cross bolts need any sealer.

I use a little Ultra Grey under the side bolt washers.

thats what i thought, a little sealer in the channel where the rear main seal goes also ?

I don't use side seals in th erear main seal retainer at all. Ultra Grey only. Off set the seal slightly. Also drill the retainer mounting holes 1/64" oversize o allow the retainer to center itself on the seal. I've reused the same seal in my race motor on the last 2 freshen ups. Still zero leakage.

thanks for the tips, its been along time since i assembled a shortblock, and it sounds like no sealer in the channel it sits in if u r reusing yours..

made some progress today, crank is now torqued in place with a MP rear main seal housing. seals were offset appx .250 and sealer used in place of the side seals. clearance ground it a little but was probably good without it, to be sure. pistons r .012 down in the hole  . need to set up gear drive and degree the cam and set timing marks in relation to the damper But these expensive cranks dont come with Keyways.....and it wont show up until the weekend or later....

thanks. thats a Holley 80902 1050 XP that i bought last weekend at mopar alleys show/swap meet...doesnt appear to have had any fuel in it as new 700.00. couldnt say no..indy intake is just cinched down enough to evenly seal the gaskets. will start it with the crossram thats already tuned with the hemi 770's and go from there..

Now its ready to go in, had an O'**** moment putting the intake on when the allen head socket popped of the extension and it fell down the runner all the way into the head, fortunately the valve wasnt open enough for it to drop into the cylinder....took the intake back off and used a magnet to get it....

alot of work, time and money to get the 3 crossbolts on the side shown in the pic.....here's some engine ****.

The Hemi Wedge !!

had the afternoon to myself so i installed the motor today, had to know whether the new pan would fit, according to mr stanley it would,,,,,and it did. low profile moroso aluminum 7 QT pan, hangs 1 " below the 1963 K member which has the inner lip cut off and welded up. cutouts on both sides, the passenger side is 1" less wide than the driver for offset motors Unlike the milodon unit... some thought was put into that  . complete with internal trap doors and anti slosh plate. external pick up only with a dip stick provision...and i did install hockey pucks on the front as stops per malex...lol.
