Started this discussion with some friends so I just thought I’d throw it out there.
What gun do you think most represents America?

I don't think there is just one gun, it depends on discussion and point of view, however here are some contenders

1895 Winchester lever action rifle
Colt peace maker
Colt 1911
M1 Garand
M2 Browning MG
AR15/M16

First choice: Winchester 30-30 lever action

Mine too!

Depends on what era you gravitate towards I suppose. I think a short list would be;

A revolver (Colt or smith an Wesson)
Colt 1911
A lever action rifle (Winchester)
A double barrel shotgun
And everyone's favorite evil black rifle, an AR 15

Colt SAA and M1 Garand are 2 that are high on my list to add to my collection.

I’ll go with Henry guns.

No doubt Henry played a huge part in gun development back in the late 1800s, and I’d love to find some old ones.
But the stuff they make now has been very disappointing to me. (My unpopular opinion)

All up there but I would have to go with the Colt Peacemaker
