Muscle Cars From Back In The Day

I still wish I would’ve had room for that LRE!
It is painful parting with it,but it needs to go to someone who will give it the attention and storage it really needs! The new owner says that it is going to a good home! Last night I was getting all the parts together that go with the truck. My original plan was to sell the 79 Little Red Express truck and use the funds to get the 78 LRT back on the road, but I am running out of time to get all of the Mopars I have into running order, let alone trying to get them restored. Harder choices are coming for me. But a Hellcat Challenger Redeye is the plan once they are sold.

Man, I wanted that.

The van is still available, and it is reasonable as far as Mopars go. Van's are making a comeback! I saw a caravan of about six of them the other day!

How's this for something from back in the day! I will include this with the van when someone buys it!

I liked both years. On my 78, when I customized it, I actually changed the headlights to the quad setup and it looked great, with the vertical marker lights/turn signals. Sounds like it’s going to a good home and gets the resto it deserves. Enjoy that new ride, it will be worth the journey.

I am going to miss both of them. My plan for the 79 was to buy a two wheel drive 89 to 93 Dodge Cummins and swap the suspension and driveline into it. Other than shortening the drive shaft, everything else was a direct bolt in! I was going to make those stacks roll coal! The ultimate tow vehicle!

Me, and my 71 Hemi GTX, at Folsom Dam, back in 1976 when i first got the car.

EDIT:
Someone asked.
What did i pay for it?
$2,950.00 dollars.
Now if you ask what i sold it for back in 2010, that's a whole another story.

Back in the day, they showed up in wrecking yards, when they were all worn out, or smashed.

I could have bought the black one, out of Grass Valley, California, in the later 1970's.
