Gave them a light sanding to remove the old glue. Will be back at it in about an hour, stay tuned lol.

This piece has slowly been wanting to come off. Decided to fix it before it came off.

Why would you put tinfoil between the panel and bondo?

Used some of this for a quick clean up.

Still would like to know why the tin foil is under the bondo. Some old school trick?

Cover the holes in the fender...so it looks smooth underneath.

Spent all day breaking down the rear drum brakes

Most of the parts are OEM with the inspectors stamps.

Last time I did drums was an my old Ford Fairmont back in 87 or 88.

I was struggling to get the springs on and my son found an online cheat by using a nylon lanyard to stretch them on. What a live saver!

After the big clean up I need to get new shoes and a drum turned.

Also the break system failure light is now on but guessing that means l need to adjust them more tighter.

Just noticed I never posted the lanyard spring trick, my son found.

Backed out the car this am and took both of the rear drums off to better adjust the brakes to see if that would get rid of the break system warning light being on.

When I took the passenger side tire off l saw a wet oily spill on it. When I took the drum off there was break fluid all splashed all over, mystery solved, the piston is dripping brake fluid.

That side was really dirty when I took everything apart the other day. Looks like it had been dripping at some point and scabbed over. Spraying brake cleaner all over and brushing everything clean took the scab off.

While the tires were off, decided to spray the leaf springs flat black as well as the drums.

Also got the date codes off my rims, looks like they came off a Ford???
