I guess better late then never, I cant believe it either as I wanted to be done back in June! thankfully I got all the expensive stuff done before I got laid off from my job!!!!! At least now I will have time to get her all done just in time for winter! LOL

That is life no money or no time
I hope your lay off is short but enough time to finish the car

Your doing a very nice job.
I hope mine looks as nice as yours when its done.

Congratulations on the re-launch! Your car is looking fantastic. Pretty convenient getting time off work in order to finish it off before it turns 41 huh?. That's proof the Mopar God loves you and wants you to be happy (and get her car done).

Well, finally got the drip rail seals that fit, so all the door seals are on, and the quarter glass is now in.

With that done, I put the dynamat down on the floor boards, I still have to do the rear seat area, but once done I can do carpets then seats!!! Will be nice to actually sit in the seats again, instead of the milk crate that I am using!

Im building the twin sister of this car what was the problem with the window seals I need to buy these now.
My stainless and chrome is all still good I thought the available replacements were supposed to be good?

If you are looking for the drip rail weather strip, get the ones from Steele Rubber and not metro, metros don't fit too well, but the Steele Rubber ones fit right in. The metro door seals that go around the bottom edge of the door fit good, but use the Steele Rubber end seals/caps. If you are doing the belt moldings, get the ones from Restoration Specialties, they are the best fit and quality. You will pay a bit more for Steele Rubber and Restoration Specialties, but its worth it so you don't have to force things to fit right.

i am making notes and will be asking for more when I get time to start on mine

Thanks Bruce

wow is right looking very nice :headbang:

I need all of the seals don't one of these company's offer a complete kit? I was planning at looking at Steele rubber and or Restoration specialty's as a source for these parts any way but I didn't know to order one part from one company and another part from a different company especially on the subject of seals is this what you are saying?

In my quest I just want an OEM type seal/part nothing fancy just the original stuff that fits like the original. (Dont we all)
You should see what I recently purchased as a Patch panel for a Pontiac I am restoring not even close to a fully usable panel yet they call it one why rip people off I will never under stand that.

I have to start surfing for a parts after Xmass right now things are just to tight.

I think Steele Rubber has all the seals and weather stripping, but the belt moldings are Restoration Specialties, and actually Steele Rubber sometimes recommends them. It would be nice if someone had an all in one kit. Anyway, I learned the hard way, ordering what was available at reasonable price, but you get what you pay for, and most of the stuff I originally got, wasn't even close, so I started looking closer at the more expensive options, and they are much better. Now, I am strictly speaking about OEM replacements, but there is cheap knockoff stuff that is advertised as OEM, but its really not and why I post up here to let others know and save some sanity! LOL

I don't know what you mean by Belt moldings?
Will definitely be doing window & door seals for sure and want to get new fuzzy window sweeps as well.

10-4 on getting what you pay for

Belt moldings are the seals that run along the top of the door, and seal your movable door glass, also help to clean the window when you roll down your window. There is a set on the outside of the door and another that is usually attached to the upper door panel.

I used my car as an example and show where all the door seals are located. There is one additional seal that goes between the drip rail and the roof which is under the drip rail weather strip, but that only needs replaced if it leaks, or if you are completely stripping down the car.
