Hey I just did this to my suspension 2 weeks ago.

I am trying to decide what suspension rebuild kit to buy and whether or not I should upgrade my T-bars or sway bars...or anything else while I am at it.

What is your plan?

Thank you for the tips. I can always use step by step help.
For Christmas I ordered a suspension rebuild kit from PST http://www.p-s-t.com/ and I also ordered a front disc break conversion kit. Now I need to get busy putting it all together. PST also has sway bars but I have not yet decided what I want to do. I don't know enough about it yet.

I had them upgrade my discs and they drilled and slotted them for me.

Which suspension kit is this? I was looking at 2 different ones (different bushing material)
I would like the disc conversion kit also but $$$$$
that's another subject for research!

This was the original super front end kit. I just got the original rubber kit but the polygraphite might be worth it.

I am going to be out for a while. Yesterday my brother and I went for our final checkup at the hospital. Everything seems to still be on schedule for my kidney transplant the first of next week. I am very grateful for my brother and his willingness to donate one of his kidneys to me. I am also grateful for his wife and family for letting him do it. Thant is a very big commitment.
I will continue to work on my car when I recover but in the mean time I will probably be studying and reading about all of your projects so that I can continue to learn about things I can do on my car and get some good ideas.
Thank you for everyone's help.

Hate to hear that, good luck on a speedy recovery.

As far as rebuild kits go, I rebuilt my whole suspension with poly bushings, upgraded the leafs and torsion bars to stiffer one and of coarse all new ball joints and tie rod ends from Just Suspension. In the end I'll likely not deal with them again (horrible customer service) but am very happy with the ride quality. Warning, quick ratio pitman and idler arms will make the steering linkage hit Hooker Super Comps for anybody considering them.

Thank you, I think that I will also put a torsion bar on my car. I already bought new leaf springs.

I have been collecting the parts that I need and starting to assemble them.
I got a standard 4 qt. oil pan for a 440 and decided to send it back and I ordered a deeper 7 qt. oil pan.
I had the alternator and starter rebuilt.

I know it's been a while, but did you send your alternator and starter out to someone to rebuild them or did you have someone local rebuild them?

I had my alternator and starter rebuilt here locally in St. George. I feel that they did a good job.

Don't feel bad I did the same thing and also pressed the new ones in too. lol But it seems to be just fine. Nothing broke or has ever failed and I have several thousand miles on it now. So going forward but good link. I will do the ones on my charger the right way.

I hope by the time you're reading this post you're well on your way to recovery from the transplant. Both you and your brother. You have indeed been blessed.

Hope to to see you back and active on your restoration of yourself and the mighty charger your building.

Ok. Thanks. How much did they charge if you don't mind me asking?
The alternator cost $110.00 to rebuild and the starter cost $65.00 to rebuild.

Thank you. I will be going to Salt Lake City on Monday for the operation. I have been busy today trying to catch up on everything, I feel that my days are numbered.
