It should be going higher than 220 for it to boil. Is the system building pressure before it gets to that point?

It doesn't boil over at 220 but if it goes higher it will. It happens when we have 100 - 110* days and i'm driving slow around town. It does build up pressure.

I appreciate everyone's advice. I took some of the suggestions and retarded my distributor advance just a little, without using the timing light, and it already idled better. I took my wife to town, for dinner, for our 32nd anniversary last night (60 mile round trip) and the car ran about 20* cooler (90* day and A/C running). I also feel like that it has more power. I'm sure that there is more fine tuning that I can do but I'm glad it's doing better. Now I need to figure out my kick down.

Can't remember if you have stock kick down linkage or a lokar cable but here's a video that may be helpful.. He talks about it about a minute in..

The next day I have some time I'm going to go through and check all of my linkage hook ups again and make sure I have it all hooked up right. I am also going to go back to the transmission shop that rebuilt it and have them check it and tune it up.

I need some help and advice.
I have been worried about driving my car around without a safety latch on my hood so I bought a re-pop one for a 68 charger. I bolted it on to test fit it and it doesn't latch onto anything. This is on of the many parts that my car was missing so I don't know what I might be missing or what it was suppose to look like. The latch does go through the hole in my grill support frame. Is there another bar or something that is suppose to be there for the latch to latch onto?

mine catches on the back side of the hole, i believe i have an extra catch if you cant adjust it to work. maybe repop is off?

I see the problem the stock one bolt holes line up with point of catch yours doesnt

That repop looks off. The bend in the original looks more prominent.

I guess in the process of trying to make one size fits all they are making parts that one size doesn't quite fit anything. I just got the hood to radiator seal and tried to install it. The clip holes do not line up. I called Classic Industries and they told me that that was because it was made to fit many different cars. I guess I need to modify it and make my own holes.

Ahh the Imperial to Metric conversion didn't quite work out so well...
Now I'm glad I was able to clean mine up because I was looking at replacing it with the exact one you have from Classic.
