My new 1969 Plymouth Sport Satellite

@wollfen Did you pick that up at the Clemmons auction? Nice score! I am in Winterville NC, so jus down the road! PM me. There are quite a few Mopar guys in the area and a few who are members here as well. Love to make contact with local Mopar folks! Not a lot of us in ENC so the more the merrier!
Harris Auction. PMing you, cheers! Oh now and again some people get together at my place too.

Yea, I couldn’t believe some of the parts prices. Those bell housings come to mind

Good looking gathering. I love that rag top GTX

Nice, as you know I'm sure the sport sat and the GTX share many parts. The taillight housings are one but they are available aftermarket but expensive. The hard parts are the grille and the trunk finish panel. There very difficult and expensive to find in decent shape. Hopefully your grille is in one piece and can be restored easily. The trunk finish panel with makes or breaks the rear of the sport sat and GTX is another issue. Getting one with the pins all still there and minimum of pits would be a good start. Also the rocker panels are a SS only item. I mistakingly bought a aftermarket and they were wrong for my SS. Good luck with your car
Yes I haven't done a full inventory just yet, had to pick up my last car from the auction, a 1968 Dodge Charger, 17 hours all up to do that one, I got home after midnight last night. Totally smashed.
I noted after I got everything home that the mint GTX grille which I saw in the trunk of the car is now missing. Sighs, have to source another grille now, the sport satellites do use the same grille just different badges in the center. I have a source for the trunk finish panel I guess I will have to negotiate for that.
Rocker panels, no sign of them and I don't think I saw any sell in the parts collection. Another item on the eventual want list.

Yeah anything four speed related or new was commanding big dollars, the AMD stuff sold for more than new which was nuts.

Yup, same with the gas tanks. I just wasn’t going to pay more than I could just order one for.

If you start parting it out, let me know.....lol. I’m working on a 69 satellite convertible myself

Somebody grabbed that grille, that sucks big time. A mint grille is worth some dollars. I despise people who stoop so low as to steal like that

Yeah here is the pic of it still in the trunk. After I won the car I closed the trunk immediately without looking, then when I opened it again I didn't see it.

Ok i get it but that still hurts. Its a nice car and looks like a solid platform to build on. I wish you the best of luck with it
Yes I will check the bodywork more seriously soon and if it is to a high standard then i will seal the bare metal in epoxy primer then lay on some Urethane primer, let that all cure and start rubbing back for topcoat. The car will be repainted in the original red too.

Sounds like you got a good deal! Agree with the others...a sport satellite is pretty cool as it is. Glad to hear you are gonna bring it back the way it was. I am a SS owner too along with a few too many others...

Too many RR clones. The sports Satellites are a good car in themselves. I like it, it has three speed wipers, AC and power steering. I like that upmarket grille too. Not sure I will put the vinyl top back on even though there is a new one in the box here.

Got this home late Saturday night, I haven't even checked the fender tag yet. Bigger project for sure, but I have all the body panels for it plus numerous other parts too. I may start a new thread later on this one.

It's hard to tell by the pictures, but I see about about a hundred-two hundred bucks worth of trinkets and 25 bucks in scrap metal.
