Lights will be T8 strip lighting, because of my lowish 12' ceiling. Not enough room for "F-Bays". Don't think the T5 investment would pay off for me either.

Some areas will get some wall lighting as well.

Yes, that is exactly the plan.

My original business model was designed around "buy good projects, build to a certain plan and then sell"

But it is looking as if there is enough demand from cars that already have owners, I wont need to hang my own money out there on "flips". This is what it looks like for me personally for the time being anyways, either people that know me, or friends of friends etc. Just word of mouth so far, zero advertising efforts (not ready for that yet).

Hopefully it is sustainable in my area.

The first one is already half way torn down & ready for the shop. Sadly it's not a Mopar, it's a 64 ford galaxie 500, 2 dr fastback.

Currently a 390/3spd car, destined for XL tribute (clone).

It will get XL interior (buckets) and a toploader 4 spd with console.

Black with red interior.

After that, a 66 chev caprice 2 dr, 327/powerglide.

Then a fleet of 69-70 fastback mustangs for a collector.

then a 1950 stude hawk 2dr.

(I'm all over the map)

Thanks, of the ones I mentioned already, it's all old hat to me with exception of the Studebaker.

I can tell you, that one is going to be a huge project. The lady (yes lady), she wants a nice ride, lowered, power steering, power disc brakes, AC, leather interior, 2 tone paint, custom wheels... lol!

It's gonna be fun.

My little buddy Joey and I spent the day putting tools and equipment together yesterday. All this stuff that's taking up room in the house garage has to move out to the new shop. We put together a transmission jack, a floor creeper/stool, a cart for my plasma cutter, an awesome shop vac, a set of go-jacks for lifting cars by the tires and moving them around in the ship, a drill press, a bench grinder, an oil drain pan for under the hoist.... I know we put together more than that but that's all I can think of. My 10 yr old assistant was very excited and very helpful yesterday.

Here's a neat attachment for my spot welder, a set of pinch weld tongs.

Safety cabinet for flamible liquids, this is where my paints, primers and solvents will go.

We're going to pick up a new rollaway (tool cabinet and chest) for hand tools today, also some cabinets and shelving.

It won't be long before you will realize you should have built a shop that's twice as big! Mine is just under 1500 sq ft with a 625 sq ft covered car port out behind it and it's all way too small and saw that within about 6 months lol

Dave, I've been following this thread from the beginning and what a beautiful shop this has become.
Don't give up on the T5HO's yet, I built a 40 X 60 a few years ago with 12' ceilings and used 12 Six bulb fixtures and it's like daylight in there. I think they were $106.00 at the time.

Wow Dave . . . Christmas came a little early for you in August ( after all the delays - sorry about those ) . . . but things are really shaping up and looking GOOD ! !

Awesome shop Dave!!! rrowdy is spot on with the T5's. I've lamped all of our manufacturing plants and my shop with them.. It's like standing on the face of the sun. You can never have too much light!!!

Thanks guys, it's been a slow week on the building itself. I've been assembling shop cabinets and putting tools away, spreading and leveling gravel around the building, stuff like that.

We're working on a sign for the front of the building right now. I had a sheet of cold rolled 16 gauge laser cut, bent and powder coated white for a sign board. Then we had our business logo printed in hi def color on vinyl to apply to the sign board.
