I stood up my lift columns last night, set them in place.

They sent me a symmetric rather than an asymmetric like I ordered.....

And I'm not upset about it.

Because my floor plan located my asymmetric hoist in the hoist stall, it all looked good until the building was up. I forgot about the overhead door for that stall, the asymmetric lift would have actually been a problem with the overhead garage door rails. As soon as I realized I had a problem with the hoist tops and the garage door rails wanting to occupy the same space, I started wishing I had ordered the symmetric hoist instead.

They goofed and sent me the one that is coincidentally going to work the best inside my stall.

That worked out rather nicely I think.

I installed my lift last night.

Now I just need some electricity and a couple gallons of juice.

It went together really nice.

Man, once you pull that torque wrench and click it at 150 ft lbs 10 times, you start to understand how you can balance a car on just 2 posts, lol!

I feel great, a whole bunch of tasks just got a lot easier. Oil changes, brakes, wheel rotation, U joints, Shocks, fuel tank removal, wheel bearings, suspension/steering work, Trans work, under body cleaning, scraping, welding, cutting....

Wow, what will I do for torture now that I dont have to crawl under cars on my back any more?

I just started reading this today and have seen most of you problem develop
concrete on foam reflex's all the heat up and does not let the ground suck out the moisture
if you want to see more fun get a contractor that does not listen and puts hi early in and it flashes fast
if you have not ordered your booth get it with 3 phase motor and VFD to balance your booth for slight positive pressure
as a VFD will take crap single phase and give you clean 3 phase
I hope your floor tubing is not much over 250 feet as you can get your delta T better
It is all looking top notch
Also hope you are adding outdoor reset to your boiler control

Dave, you can always start a resto on a 68-9 charger. With the way other members here had fun working on theirs, you might as well have fun too.

Its a 10,000 lb Rotary brand, made in USA. It went together like a dream, very nice fit with everything.

Thanks, I sure hope I stay busy too. the electrician starts next week, I think I'm pulling the plug on my 20+ yrs of work for manufacturing companies, this week.

Ceiling goes on tomorrow, Also the framing of interior walls I'm told.
