That '69 reminds me of when I was riding my bike to school in grade 11, 1973-1974. I always went past a parked 1969 Trans-Am convertible, I thought it was a cool car. I had no idea at the time that only eight of them were made.

Yeah...I forgot about those. My ex had one & got pretty pissed when I started giving her car the "nitrous eye". I think it was like a 305 or maybe smaller optional V8 (?) Didn't they have a Monza Spyder or something like that?

There are quite a few cars that we all can admire from Ford & GM from the '63's - '71. What it does show is that there was a tremendous variety of beautiful styles from all of the manufacturers which is something that we don't have today. Too many of today's cars are all so generic with their melted soap bar styling.

Very much agree with you RC. Back then it was easy to tell the difference between cars. Now, with a few exceptions, they all look like the same team designed them. No variety!

For me, in no particular order:

• 69 Fastback Mustang: Why? I just like the quad headlights and fake scoop behind the doors. Don't know why, but I just like the styling
• 70 Buick GSX. Why? If you are going to be honest with yourself, you have to agree this is one of the finest muscle cars built. I like the styling, and the performance was awesome.
• Late 70's Datsun 280Z: God, why have one of those on this list??? (and yes, I KNOW it is not a "muscle car") Well, as a 16 or 17 year old kid I got to borrow one for a week. It truly was a blast to drive and I had a lot of fun in the thing. Yes, I almost killed myself in it, but what great memories!

Honestly, if I had money like Jay Leno I would have a huge variety of cars!

I’ll go legit to the question this time since my first answer was my own car.......lol. I love me the 69 Boss 429. Only car that ever beat me in a street race back in the day. Of course he had slicks on and I didn’t. Only clipped me by a 1/2 car length. Loved the car though. No pics sorry.
