Name your favorite off brand muscle car

I just watched a great little story on the "Muscle car". Now everyone won't agree with all the opinions or inclusions, but it is a good story of how our beloved cars and hobby came to be. It is called, "Hot Rods and Muscle Cars". I watched it on H2. It comes on again at midnight Mountain Daylight Time. Watch or record, it was 2 hours well spent in my opinion.

Oh ya, I was always a Chevy Duster guy! I got my first 69 Pontiac Acadian in grade 10 in high school. I yanked the 327 out of Mom's, rest her soul, 69 Impala 4 door that i had already wrecked, and through it in there. About a month or two later, I rolled it. :( But it was the beginning of my love for Novas.

amc`s are definitely my fav underdogs for sure.
they ran the entire production on small blocks.
never a big block.

my Fav was my 73 amx javelin 401 4 speed, built to the hilt and blueprinted.
that car ran like a Dream and it felt like you were part of the car,not just rolling around.
hard to explain unless youve owned a 71-74 javelin.

im working on a beater 73 javelin now and its fun being back in an amc.
hella hard to find parts tho...have deep pockets, fair warning there.

i also have a 70 buick,which ill never finish
and the shortbed dodge 318 -5 speed square which i will
and the ratrod...aiiiyyiiyii.

1967 Failane catches my eye everytime.

never even thought of "home made cars" a Torana

You'll have to explain to most non-Canadians on here what a Pontiac Acadian is. :)

LOL, I suppose some may not know the Acadian was a Pontiac version of the Chevrolet Nova. It came from the Beaumont model. I like the early square bodies too, but the curves of the later, smaller Nova always had my eye, and eventually led me into Demons and Dusters.

And my nephews 401 Gremlin from the mid 70's,ran 11.03 at 121 mph.

California and high altitude regions got the 350 2bbl in 1975.
Arent Vegas where one would find the plug for the rear window of a Daytona to do a restoration?

Porsche 944 Turbo
Porsche 911 (Early - Late, Turbo - N/A)
Porsche 928
Bentley GT (04 and later, HUGE bump for the 8 speed cars)

yeah the 67 Fairlane 500 has great lines

my stepfather Bob owned a 66 Fairlane with a hot 289
& a 67 GTA 390cid when I was a young kid

unfortunately no room for wider tires, narrow wheel wells

the 427 cars were cool looking
