Any tricks to gain about 1/8" on the outer wheel lip. just got new wheels with a 5" backspace and it's so freakin close but not hitting, inside has plenty. I think going around a turn, its going to rub.
I have a set of wheels with a 6" b/s.
I think it will crack the paint if I use one of those.
Never tried one yet,,, but have heard about the young dumb kids using them on there POS little (Folgers can muffler, rattle trap) cars.

Of course an aluminum baseball bat between the wheel well opening and tire, has been the trade tool for an awful long time....
You will never be able to roll it with one of those rollers. Ask me how I know. They work good on those japanese tuna cans though.
I did the baseball bat deal many years ago with a wood bat,
I used the big end on a 68 Charger, it compressed in the tire pretty well
& rolled the lip by about 1/4" up actually, it worked relatively well,
I didn't see any noticeable distortion on the outside either...
IIRC I started on the front side of the well wells, rolled the car backwards,
tire grabs the bat & rolls the lip "with a little pulling up/or pushing down, force on the bat handle"
then repeated it from the rear side of the wheel wells & rolled the car forward...
IIRC I overinflated the tires too, so the bat didn't just sink into the soft side walls of the slicks...
sorry that's all I remember doing
good luck
how long did it take? How many bat rolls? I want to make sure i'm doing it right.
man it was years ago,
IIRC a couple of passes each way
I do remember I just went slow, the cautious approach
IIRC you can shove the bat up father if you think it's too fat or something,
use a narrower part of the bat, I do remember having to push down or pull up on the bat thou,
which I don't/can't remember thou...
that should have said farther not father {like I posted}..LOL
yep I'm a little twisted too...
