but I've been a Gold member on FABO a long time.
My favorite B-body is a 68 Charger, followed by 68 Road Runners.
True story, I was laying in bed one night about 2 months ago and had come to the realization I'd never own one. 2 weeks later my GF asked if I wanted to go out for lunch with her family. She said her male cousin had died of a heart attack in May at 72. The family had not kept in touch with him over the years but she wanted to show support for the widow. And by the way, apparently Tyler was a Mopar guy and she had a couple cars she wanted to sell. BOING!
I made it a point to sit across from the widow and after a while I asked her about the cars. She said one was a 72 'cuda and the other a 69 Charger. The cuda was at her house and the Charger was in a self serve storage garage.
I told her I'd like to see them and she said OK but not til she got back from Florida. She sent a few pictures and a short video to my GF and she then forwarded them to me. The video was about 3 mins long done by her late husband of the Charger running but not driving.
I went to the big Mopar show at Norwalk Sept 20-21 and sitting around a campfire with about 8 other Mopar buddies, I said I might have an opportunity to buy a 69 Charger. After seeing the pics and video they all said buy it! It's a no-brainer if you can get it for 20-25K.
I had to wait until she got back from Florida and finally on Oct 3 my GF and I went to her house which was only a few miles away.
I checked out the 73 340 4 speed cuda which was "done" after many years.
After searching for keys, I drove them another 3 miles or so, opened the door and there it was. Hadn't moved in 12 yrs.
