OK I've been off the grid from this forum for a long time since I wasn't really contributing much and hey, life is busy. But now I have a couple of good reasons to show my face. I've been negotiating the deal for this '65 Satellite for over four years with my buddy and we finally managed to drag it home. It'll be a pretty big project but I'll probably just drive it next summer warts and all. And as much as the purists will hate this, I am putting an axle under it. Then I get this unbelievable lead last week on this '62 Dart and I pretty much lost my mind. Sitting right under my nose since the '80s. A real survivor. Keys were even still in the ignition. I won't be able to get to this one for a while but at least I have it.
More updates as it all unfolds. Right now I need console shift cables and a good upholstery supplier but I'll go to the appropriate sections to enquire.

Thanks guys, I've been making some good headway on the '65. Found console shift cables that I'll install tonight and hopefully be firing the new motor soon. After that I'll move inside to weld up the floor a bit. It only really needs one patch panel. I've contacted SMS and Legendary about seat covers, headliner and a couple other things and either one have responded. Real nice.

To say the dart looks like it's been sitting in a field for 20 plus years the body looks pretty good from the pics!?

Closer to 30 years. It had a repaint in the mid '80s and apparently the previous owner really loved this car and took really good care of it...until he didn't. haha Trunk and floors look solid but I need to get it on the hoist for closer inspection. Right now it's all '65 all the time.
