So for my lean2s i will dig out columns front and back the length of the building every 8’. And because i have a 2’ eve i will go mostly to top and caulk a pice of flashing. Could also do a mono truss but thats more money. But if i didn’t do the spray foam first i would pull it down and do the mono truss and i would be sealed. So in your case if No spray foam or if you do batting you could take it down do it correctly Mono truss or do a ledger route out for the tin were it raises caulk and seal.

It’s all good. They will just make your lean2 stronger and more rigid.

Scope out the wind situation there. You may need to get burly where the posts go into the dirt and where the lean to attaches to the new garage.

Got power , had a bad breaker but 2 rows of lights working. Did not go all the way to the back with the lights because will be building a mezzanine. Plenty to still do build paint booth, build mezzanine, air compressor going under stairs, ram wire for exterior lights, patio area out front. I wanted it really bright so far so good.

I love my LED lights. I'm a little further along than you are. It takes time and it's frustrating, but you'll get there.

Great job, as a 'bulbhead' for fifty years, there is no such thing as too much light available . I began converting family and friends over to LEDs years ago....awesome.

Yes lighting is key, i choose prime lights LED 6 Lamp T8 STINGRAY 6XL Highbay Fixture 132 Watts Clear. Great lights

Can anyone recommend a good, economical brand (I have 39 double bulb fixtures) of 4', 120-volt LEDs? I bought bulbs through Amazon, and I have replaced over a dozen in 3 years' time due to flickering. They have a small PC board inside, which I suspect is the troublemaker. In 20 years, I think I may have replaced 4 florescent bulbs.

Received my I joist (44) qty and 1 12x42 header ready to build my mezzanine. Made my feet bracket out of 1/4 steel and header bracket. Paint booth will be on left side 16’x 26’ and open on R side for tool boxes and around perimeter and full bathroom with shower far right. Waiting for my forks for my tractor to lift the header into place.

Im still considering going up through the roof, or up out the side of shop. Theres a vented window i may pull out an have ducting going up out booth. I want it all so work correctly and no make shift so there still little bit of research to do still.

Your shop looks awesome!! We started building our vacation/retirement home two years ago and the process took over a year (Oregon Coast) The prices got to be crazy and the interest rate well lets just say it is more than what we thought it would be. Anyway I notice you live in Vacaville Ca so we are in the same area. I am over by Kaiser Hospital side of Vacaville.

Yep saw your post also I’m behind Winco/Costco. Yep I’m getting everything over to Navada once I finish shop want to do it rite. I will not move anything in till it’s completed on the inside otherwise I won’t finish the inside. Lol , Work on it every weekend coming along though.
