We have a new house with 1/2 acre on the side where we are building a 35' x 40' shop. I got a quote from a concrete company for $13,500 + tax to form and pour. Yikes!
So I formed it with the help of the wife and kids.
Now I'm going to admit pouring it really really sucked. 23 yds, so 3 trucks worth. The first bit was on the dry side so we had them add water to the mix to allow it to flow better. It is no where near perfect, couple low spots, and rough is some places. To me, well worth saving $8000 though. We are going to epoxy it once it is seasoned so we can use leveler prior.
The building is about $17k delivered and set up. Going to have 2 roll up doors, 10 foot high and a good sized area for some workout equipment. No plans for a lift, just room to work on some cars and store parts and tools.
