Hello, everyone I am a typical Hot Rodder who has had mainly vintage style Hot Rods but the oppurtunity came for us to purchase a 1964 Dodge Polara 2 door hard top. The car is in need of work but does run . It has a Poly motor in it from what I can tell but I am not sure of the size Cubic Inches. I am joing this site hoping to gather some knowledge of these cars being my wife absolutely loves the thing.

:hello2:ONE OF MY Favorites .i had one and let it go a few years ago. welcome aboard fellow NYer

Thanks everyone I currently have these two Hot Rods 1930 Model A truck on 32 Ford rails and a 221 C.I. Flattie with a 2x2 Edelbrock intake. The other is a 1939 Ford Convertable Sedan with a revered eye mono spring and a worked over 283 with the old Cragar adapter so that it is backed up with the original Ford runnung gear and the 64 Polara is our newest addition. Along with some other project vehicles (1950 Mercury Coupe,1951 Mercury Woody Wagon and a 1930 Model A Victoria).

Welcome to the site, good to see the whole family involved in the car hobbie:icon_kidra: best wishes CD

Thanks everyone I am excited about building the car for my wife. It appears that we are in need of the torsion bar cross member

Well I am a little more bummed out after tearing out the interior I have found the floor of this to be extremely bad. I am thinking it over as to which directrion to go with this.....straight axle it and tie the frame together or try and find a donor car with a good floor.

Anyway the wifey got her self some new wheels and tires to put on her car.

Doner car sounds good, you may need other things down the line.

Welcome to FBBO form Joe, great looking cars & family you have there... Good luck on your Polara Project...

Like the Polara. My father used one on a rural postal route in the 60"s. Was a rugged reliable car.
