hi there im from newzealand and i have ahot poly but i have low oil pressure on idle the idiot light comes on
the crank was ground to the bearings new oil pump
when you are driving oil is ok but as soon as you idle it drops right down
now my car is a right hand drive and it uses a remote oil filter any ideas some help would be much apreciated

DO you have a pressure gauge on it and what kinda numbers are we talking about? Both at idle and driving? And by gauge I mean an aftermarket gauge....not the stock gauge....they were junk new IMO.

Like bigmanjbmopar said a thicker oil. I had that issue with my built 340, I changed to 20/50 oil and never had a problem since....
Hope this helps.

If you do not hae a gage on it put one on and see what kind of numbers you get neer trust an idiot light. If you rebuilt the engine did you replace the cam bearings? if not this could be the problem. i hae a 66 coronet with a poly engine its got 41,000 original miles and it runs around 25 to 30 an idle and 40 to 45 at road speed.
