Older movies you watched lately.....?

Just watched Blues Brothers a couple weeks ago. Watched with step son who is in his late 30s. He had never seen it before despite loving the music from that era. Needless to say he really really enjoyed it. For me it is in my top 5 of all time. Great music, great lines, and good mopar action. Can’t get any better…

Watching Full Metal Jacket right now.

I hope you watched the extended version, it has a lot more car crashes than the original theatrical release. (also explains where the aerosol cheese and glue came from).

I DO remember seeing that version in the past. I forgot it existed. Next time for sure when I need a nostalgia fix.

Father is a Bachelor and Sunset Boulevard starring William Holden.

The first is a musical but the songs are brief and pretty good.

The second is a classic. You may recall the reenactment of the stairway scene on the Carol Burnette Show.

I watched the Jayhawkers today (1959). I almost bailed on it early on, but I stuck with it. It was ok.

I think I'll be watching The Towering Inferno this weekend. I was 4 when it came out but I remember movies like this playing on the ABC movie of the week when I was a kid.
Geez this movie is a trip of 1970’s who’s who. Paul Newman and OJ Simpson teaming up to save Bobby Brady for example. I’m only an hour in, waiting for them to work in the cast of Happy Days or Little House on the Prairie at this point.

I think I'm past due on watching 'A Bridge Too Far' from 1977.
