Older movies you watched lately.....?

I watched the original Invasion of the Body Snatchers and Lifeforce yesterday. Those movies are so old but the effects have held up even by today's standards.

That is funny...it reminded me of how some "special effects" do not age well at all.
We all ,ay wince and look away BUT the movie Ghost was wildly successful when it was released. Patrick Swayze was a big star back then. The scenes of the movie where ghouls from the underworld sprung from below to drag away the dead....featured crappy looking, shaded blobs that looked like the work of a 7th grade science project. The growling, grumbling beings all gathered to drag off the dead and then fade away.

I watched Slap Shot last night. Too much language and knuckleheadery for the wife and daughter but I got in after they were asleep so I enjoyed it by myself with a cold brew and some chips and salsa.
Most of it is stinky 70s cheese but I always bust up laughing when the Hansons show up...how can you not.
Wanchuk the perv guy on the team is a crack up too!

I love the part where Dave is all beat up..... the Hansons say "Dave's a killer" ....and someone else says "Dave's a mess"
There's even a rapper style clip on YT with that.

today, I'm not so sure, nudity, swearing, morals, sexual (immoral/s) & airing stds
have been laxed/lowered 'to say the least'
they show way worse on network daytime/primetime TV
T&A or cussing etc. F-bombs
& links to the -www- they all have access to, now too

still the young or "the sensitive ears", don't need to be exposed to that
until they are truly ready & know the context & meanings of the "stuff"
