My cable has been showing the 1953 movie The Steel Lady about plane crash survivors in the Sahara Desert who find a WWII German tank, get it running and ride it to civilization.

My boys and I watched A Bridge Too Far, released 1977. All star cast. Directed by Richard Attenborough (Hammond from Jurassic Park)

I keep forgetting about that one.
Today I REwatched the original Jurassic Park. Sequels cannot match the original.
Yesterday was the Gladiator 2 turd...what a total waste of time. Denzel, as great as he is, couldn't save this piece of ****.

They call that land grab Eminent Domain here in the states.

That looks funny, Roger. I'll have to find it. I think I can fit it into my hectic schedule, right now.
Since you have time... Australia has made some good movies - the same production team were involved in "The Dish" and "The Merger" - both on Netflix.

"The Dish" follows the first Moon Landing and the televising of the first pictures from the Moon.
"The Merger" is about a small-town Football team made up of refugees.

Both great comedies and I have watched both almost as many times as I have watched "Snatch"

....and for a great TV series to binge watch - Ricky Gervais' 3-season series of "After Life" - absolute comedy GOLD. Netflix also.

I enjoyed 'The Dish'. It had its humorous moments, but based on real life made it interesting.

But I really do like 'Reckless Kelly'. :)

There's a lot of humour that some nationalities might not get.... probably the best section is the first 15 minutes.

The Prime Minister is a hoot.

I don't normally notice clothes in a movie but I did in The Untouchables and The Man From Uncle.
