That is a photo I’d like to frame and mount in my garage. 1957 was a breakout year for body styling and availability of more powerful motors. Lower, longer bodies and of course the larger fins. Chrysler did it most stunningly; but Ford and GM had some kick-butt styling that year as well. To go back in time to watch people’s reaction to these new cars would be interesting. Have no memories still being too young, but over the next few years remember seeing them on the road most enthralled by the mopars. My uncles had a ’57 DeSoto and Dodge. My Dodge uncle would let me goof around in his, my DeSoto uncle was afraid I’d wreck something sitting in his, lol. He was probably right. The fins on that DeSoto were taller than I was.
