My favorite changes depending on the day, my mood, the weather, what I had for breakfast....
There just wasn’t a bad one!

Forgot the 1967 road runner, that’s what Dodge called it.
My favorite is 68, 69, and 70!

1970, Rallye dash was standard, I don't like the standard dash at all, especially in '70 on the Coronet/Satellite. Also, best taillights, and grill looks a lot better than '68-69. The '68-69 grill always reminds me of the Blues Brothers '74 Monaco grill and that ruins it for me.

Having said that, I'd love to have a '69.5 A12, or a '71. I've always liked the 1972 grill too.

From a purely objective point, 71. The redesign was in every way a much better car than the 68-70. Actually the 72 as well, but it didn't have the power plants that the 71 had. The 73-75 were also better than the 68-70, but obviously lacked the power, and a notch below the 71-72 due to the isolated subframe.

Hard decision between the first year 68 and last year of the body style 70. I picked 70 because of the available engine and drivetrain options as well as the appearance options, air grabber, pistol grip shifters, etc. I have personally owned both. The 68 was a Hemi 4-speed, the 70 was a 440+6 4-speed, air grabber, pistol grip, bucket seat, console car. Equally fast, neither easy to tune.

I like all of them, really. But ‘70 with 440, six barrel, and four speed is my fave. No hi impact colours, I saw one years ago in dark green jade metallic that was breathtaking. I like copper or butterscotch, as well. I don’t know what the paint codes are. I don’t care what they are.
Second fave would be a black ‘68. 383 with four gears, bench, no options. So pure, so perfect.
Butterscotch or Bahama yellow wasn’t available in ‘70. It was a midyear Offering in ‘69 and went away for ‘70 accept maybe a few 999 code cars. It returned for one year in ‘71 as EL5.
Anyway nothing for nothing, ‘68 is my fave.

The 71 RR is a reskinned E-body, It doesn’t ride, drive Or look nearly as good as a 66-70 B-body. YUK

butt we all have our opinions.

And that's your opinion. Looks are subjective. Were you around when these cars were new ? The redesign rode and drove way better, not rattletraps, and were more reliable. Anybody who worked on these cars then, saw the improvement when they were introduced. I owned a 69 and a 71 back then, AT THE SAME TIME. Styling aside, the later car was far better.

I just have a thing for '73 roadrunners. I just like the way that they look, and they could still be had with performance engines like the 340 4bbl and 440 magnum.

Cool cars. My dad had one in the early 80's.

If anyone somehow knows what happened to that car please pm me. It was sold around Christmas time in the early/mid 80's in Bethesda Maryland.
It had a tan interior with a 340/auto combo. It had custom speakers installed in the panel between the rear window and rear seat. As it is in that picture it is wearing it's original paint.

I like them all year's just partial to the 69. Wonder why. LOL. Like the supper bird but just a little over the top for me. But they make for a good showing.

70 is definitely my favorite so long as it has a pistol grip and an air grabber. I have had a 69 and a 74 but I always liked the 71/72 but never had one. I have a 70 now along with a 71 Charger, 70 Challenger and 73 Cuda, pretty much all my favorites.

1971-72 my favorite s unless superbirds are included then superbirds

The most god awful road runners are the later model smaller ones with the tacked on wheel well flares and the rear side window louvers.. I was so ashamed of Ma Mopar when they brought those out. I refuse to even look at one........MO

As mentioned, it is the year you liked. However, sometimes beggars can't be choosers and sometimes it's just luck or coincidence that one grabs your eye. I personally like them all. From the first 3 years, I like the 70. From the next series I like the 72. I personally have a 73 Satty RR clone with a 68 440 engine. AS everyone's taste differs, I believe I read that the 73 sold more than any other year, even with lower compression engines which doesn't seem to make sense somehow. I would, however, be happy with any year through 75. Beep Beep to you all!

1969 is my choice. Why?
...best grill
...best tail lights
...best trunk
...best dash (no center vent cover for non-ac cars)
...the Road Runner emblems are in COLOR
...rectangular corner markers
...door lock / unlock easier to reach
68 is a close 2nd
70 is 3rd
