A typical fire sprinkler head will not activate with smoke.

And a fire hydrant located in any area that is subject to freezing temperatures will not flow water when it is hit by a vehicle.

You are correct, they are heat activated. We’re replacing all the covers on the house we’re doing (26 total) and they have to be the same specifications as the ones we’re replacing. The house was built in 2008, they were all painted over and or a few had covers missing. All the smoke detectors were original also, 20 of those.

Very good. I'm impressed (my vocation for my entire adult life is fire protection/sprinklers).
Sprinklers are activated by temperature; smoke doesn't bother them at all.

Hydrants made in the last 40 years or so are designed to break away if struck by a vehicle,
just as the one in the picture has done. Water doesn't fly out of them when this happens; their
"foot valve" at the base actually operates from under the seat, so if the hydrant breaks off at ground level,
the design is such that city water pressure will hold the valve shut in the ground.

The odd part of that pic, though - the operating stem in the middle also has a break-away collar,
which still seems to be intact in this one.

Yep, under the brand name Night Train. Just like in Chicago.

or Colt 45 or Mikeys Big Mouth or Ripple

Hi-C or Orange Kool-aid & vodka or white rum

I did a lot of work in west Oakland & around East 14th ave.
anything west of that (or the hwy) is bad, but some nice places here & there
they ain't all trash, most are but spots are nice & some very well kept
or E' Oakland around 98th ave. & E' 14th & up to the Zoo
then go up to Hwy 13/vicinity of Piedmont & Montclair they are nice
(Or were when I worked there)

Some of them are really cool guys, I met some life long friends from there
But many aren't
& they steal your tools if you don't watch them closely (fun fact)

I had a 8" skill-saw on a 100' cord stolen,
sitting on the saw horses out front after cutting a couple beams
I hadn't left it more than like 30 seconds &
some lil' skinny guy/20-ish
pants down to crotch & dirty as heck, grabbed it started running
I ran after him, when he reached the end of the cord he went down hard
I was gonna' pummel the lil' prick/tweaker looking douche,
hold him for the cops
his B-I-L who's House I was working on at the time, big dude
came running down the street, put a whoppin' on that boys ***
held him up in the air & cursed that boy out,
then handed him over to the Oakland PD, said throw the book at him
"he's no good"
didn't have any issues 'there', the whole job after that

That family were cool, he was a big car guy,
had an old Dart like 71-72 BB/727 with slick, street racer
we got along very well
they drank some weird stuff & sat on the porch a lot
but some of the nicest people you'd ever meet...
He gave me a Welches Grape Juice & Vodka (stiff on vodka)
after work one day when we were BS-ing about cars & racing
to this day I still drink that drink...

It's good

anyway carry on

The brothers love Welch's grape.

Shooting a gun in space can have several effects, including:
Bullet movement
The bullet will continue moving for thousands of years, or even indefinitely, because there's no air resistance or gravity to slow it down. It will eventually stop due to friction from space's diffuse material or if it hits another object. However, if the universe is expanding faster than the bullet can travel, the bullet could theoretically travel forever.
Shooter movement
The shooter will move backward due to Newton's third law of motion, which states that every action has an equal and opposite reaction. The shooter's backward movement will be imperceptible because they're much more massive than the bullet.
Smoke trail
The smoke trail will look like an expanding sphere instead of the trail seen on Earth.
Other effects
The low temperatures in space could cause metals to become brittle and stick together, which could jam the gun's moving parts.

Donating blood plasma(not blood, plasma) has been proven to shorten your life and is linked to some other health issues.
This is why they have to pay you to do it.
It's also why it is illegal in every country but the USA.

During WW2, the Navy aquired two ships to convert to flat tops for the purpose of training new pilots. The Sable and the Wolverine trained pilots while serving..... on the great lakes. Pictured here, at Chicago's Navy Pier.
The Wolverine was formerly the Lake Erie luxury liner, the Seeandbee.
The Sable was also a liner on Lake Erie, powered by paddle wheels and previously known as the Greater Buffalo

Both ships were scrapped shortly after the war.

That is some spooky stuff. I hope that the "donors" are advised of their potential risks.

Bullets don't go out to space. What goes up must come down.

I agree if they fired the gun from Earth. However, in this context, the gun is fired in zero gravity in space.

I don't think there's any imperical evidence. But the laws of physics cannot be broken.
