Post up facts and things that hardly anyone knows...... (for entertainment purposes only. NO need to fact check)

When World War 1 was happening, they didn't call it World War 1 because they didn't know there would be a WW 2.

The world has become waaaay too sensitive, including those who represent "in charge".

You may have missed the posts that Delta edited out. There were a few contributions that got heated.
This thread was never intended to be a historical document, I just figured it would be fun to post some random facts.

The frozen treat "Popsicle" was invented in 1905 by an 11-year-old boy named Frank Epperson. He originally called it the 'Epsicle' but years later, he changed the name to Popsicle because his kids called it that name.

Philo Farnsworth came up with the invention of the television after working as a farmer.

The rows of crops gave him the idea of how to construct a television screen.

In the Philippines, McDonald's sells spaghetti.
In New Zealand we have a Kiwi Burger at McDonalds....it contains the usual suspects plus sliced red beet (aka beetroot in NZ) and a fried egg.

Keanu Reeves (John Wicke + more) was born the exact same day, month and year as your favourite FBBO Moderator. Twins.

To this day his agent still has not replied to my birthday greeting to my twin brother from another mother.

While watching a “60 minute” program or something like that, I took pictures of these students on unicycles. It was at a Catholic school in America. The head of the school said if the kids mastered the unicycle they would be able to overcome many obstacles in their lives. The kids were taught as soon as they got into school and were required to ride these bikes to and from school, in the hallways between classes and had a gymnasium with jumps, weave poles and such. It was chaotic and crashes happened. The more experienced riders could use tail unicycles in the school and had to duck their heads going through doorways. It was hilarious to watch this story.

The Japanese seem to have incorporated the unicycle into their education system.
Japanese education is perfectly summed up in its love of unicycles

Had one of those while in Australia a few years back. I don't believe they called it a "Kiwi" burger though.
