Post your 10 second combo's

with the power that cuda` seems to makes
that's if you can get it hooked up
in the 1st 60'-330' it'd probably be knocking on the 10.0 {9.99 or better} barrier

Im going to the track with my son on Wednesday night to watch him race his 440 Valiant, Im going to try and sweet talk the officials into letting me out there one more time :love6: in the cuda, 9.99 would be nice.

yeah that would be nice, my old street/strip last 68 RR went
9.77 @ 135 best N/A on the 479ci/6bbl, 3520#

your car is easily/possibly within the realm of the mid to higher nines/9's in the 130 MPH range

BUT
good luck if the tech guys know your car, they are usually hog tied,
mainly because of liability insurance reasons, if something would have happened

I had usually ran mine on Sat. test & tunes, got away with it for a while in the 10's
as soon as it started dipping well into the 9's & I knew all the track guys too,
then me pushing it mid 8's, 8.58 @ 156 with a 300 shot of N20 w-single Dominator
they put an end to me running below 9.99 with just a 4pt rollbar, I could run 10.0-slower
I have a NHRA Comp License
{that could be another issue for you under 10.0},
so that wasn't an issue for me
(mine was a 6pt actually, but not by NHRA specs thou)
& no "real" NHRA sfi cert. cage or sticker, with a top hoop, dash bar, rear bars down thru the trunk or real door bars, much higher up...

it was my street car, I didn't want to put a full cage, that's a dead giveaway...

good luck
Happy Moparing sounds like your Cuda' is impressive runner

Here is the 440 VG Valiant of my sons, I ran it on full street rubber last Wednesday to 11.26 @ 122.95, this Wednesday it's on some 26x9 Hoosiers so expecting a 10 with the young gun driving.

Yea 122 mph should get you in the 10's with good hook. Good luck , Ron

My best 60 ft is a 1.50. I average about a 1.52. What does the car weigh ? Ron

Will put it on the scales tonight as we are racing it Ron but I would guess 3500lb, it is an A body. Will post the time slips tomorrow.

Has a 3500 converter, think it would be better with a 4000+

go big - 5000 . you won't look back Al :headbang: . You know you want to

Tex

Well I use a Dynamic street/strip 9.5 converter that flashes about 4200 and it works very nice driving on the street and at the track. But it all depends on the combo if it will like more stall. It may go faster with more stall but if you have it together I would run it and see how the conveter in it works for you. Ron

Ran my Barracuda on Sunday, getting off the pedal at half track as I was limited to 12.00 due to no cage or harness but the plan was to go out the back door when I was ready and go home :) First card is 11 half track and the second is the one that was going to be it but I stuffed it and left in second gear, as you can see from the half track et it would be .4 better than the 10.60. Anyway I still got told to piss off so did not get another chance.

The car, 71 Barracuda 528, Indy top, roller cam and dominator carb.

Well it's ON !! they have allowed me to show up on a Wednesday Night so it's is happening this Wednesday. We are coming into our winter and it is starting to get cold, altitude air density was at +1400' on these time cards but it will be around -500' this week. We have added bigger jets and the plan is a few half tracks and then all the way without any stuff ups . Im not going to say NINE yet.

Let me say that is a sexy 66 man I love these belvederes, Mine is a 67. You should be in the tens all day man honestly with those heads flowing like they are it has alot more potential. My heads only flow 301 at .600" and they stay the same up to .800" I am sure you are like every one else that has a budget because it is so expensive. But that combo with a 1150 dominator should run its but off man not saying the 950 wont either though. You should def be in the tens but the question is how far? lol Good luck man itll be worth it in the end

Have you raced your car with that 440 as that sounds like a pretty healthy 440 you have ? My EZ heads flowed 329 @ .600 as they have a little work done to them. But your heads flow pretty good. It reminds me some of my old 440 as I had KB pistons in it with a stock bottom end and it was .030 over so it was 446 cubes. I used the MP .557 cam and 906 heads I ported but it hit a best of 11.49 with it. Your 440 sounds like it should be a strong runner. I am using 4.30's in my 63 but I use a 30" tall tire which really gives them the effect more like 3.91's or 4.10's with 28" tires. I dont remember how tall the 275/60-15" tires are you are running. But I was curious if you have raced your fine Mopar with that strong sounding 440 ? Ron

thanks Mike it came out pretty good. Wrapped it in flat black... Been working on this since fall of last year. Just finished it last week. Had a girl wrap it in Roseville Ca. It took her a couple of days in the mean time I painted out the front end and the grill and the glass bumpers. I really think its way more aero now. and I can see better than with that big scoop. ( not that it helps me cut a better light)

What does wrapping roughly cost...I also have a 68' and may consider that as well.

Hey ron not yet sir i am this year to see where i am at and thanks ...:)

The 275/60/15 are 28.1 Inches tall so with a set of 3:91 gears or a set of 4:30 gears what would be the final gears ratio..

Good luck when you do run it as it may surprise you and be a very fast car. Ron
